Power of Two and Trial Accounts

I was wondering if you are able to use the currently running Power of Two deal to upgrade a 21 day trail account? It says for new accounts but since you have never paid for the trail account I would call that new but I'm not sure how it actually works.

The Power of 2 offer can only be used to create a brand new account, can't be combined with trials or other offers I'm afraid.
