As someone looking in from the outside, I'd recommend looking into Providence, but that may not suit you personally.

DH brings up a good point here, Providence does have a very different "feel" to it. If you play MMO's to feel "powerful" then Provi may not be your best bet, in that case try and get into Test or Goons or PL or Razor or one of the L33T highsec merc corps like Concentrated Evil.

We do break out the whoopass every now and then; one of the great CVA FC's came back to the game after being away for a while last month, they put together a cap ship roam with cap ship hotdrop support as a welcome home fleet. It was really cool to see, but certainly the exception and not the rule.

Provi is about the small game; using the mechanics as presented to counter the mechanics as used by those who are red to us. For instance, the counter to hot droppers is... well I guess you'll just have to send a cyno ship into Provi to figure that out =-)

Sometimes we win those engagements, often we loose. But the adventure is in the fight itself, not so much in victory or defeat.

*thats just my personal POV. We certainly have our share of killboard zealots who are actively pursuing and attaining excellence in that venue, both on individual and fleet levels .

Delve isn't too bad for PVP either, I hear. At least the one constellation that's NPC owned.

Delve isn't good from personal experience. It very small so not many systems for a small entity to occupy. And goons and Test run rampant in there along with a few other big alliances with gatecamps common at most times. If you check on kills in the last 24 hours there are a couple of systems in Delve which is commonly the second most violent system in Eve and ocassionaly it is top. It seems like the big alliances playground.

So whats not good about that?

Yeah, that was kind of my point. Very active area.

Syndicate is my favourite and i been in most null regions both npc as sov in my time.I'd vote syndicate above most sov null too tbh.

Syndicate offers small gang fights , PLENTY of 8/10 and 10/10 plexes. If you like to solo in null or like to be part of a small/medium sized alliance and dislike too many CTA's and blobs then syndicate offers just this.Next time i'm diving in null again i'm sure it'll be syndicate as i loved my stay there last year.

Providence for me is the only one i really dislike for the NRDS rules.

Syndicate <3

provi isn't NPC nullsec, lulz. it doesn't count.

After recently moving to Syndicate I'm having a blast. Greater Groon and I-Red have a big enough presence to warrant some really big fights (cap escalations) and Bomber's Bar as well as Goonswarm roll through to do hotdrops occasionally as well.

Plus there's quite a few systems that border other aspects of space (low/high etc) that you get all walks of life from ratters to roaming gangs, hotdroppers to caps, to gatecamps and structure grinds.

Plus E-Uni fly by often enough with training their students that you get a large variety of ship types to play with if you wanna test a specific ship or ship type.

If you decide you want to do some lowsec roams, lowsec is fairly close by plus you still have access to major trade hubs for seeding your own markets or if you want to do some highsec wardec blocking.

Syndicate has the better layout, Curse has better neighbouring regions and probably more going on at the moment.

As for making money in NPC regions. Curse might have an edge because of the angel epic arc. But if you are looking at npc nul regions for money making oppertunities you are doing it wrong.

Speak for yourself, I made more ISK than I knew what to do with in Curse.

Curse is very very busy, a lot of systems have people in them, or the routes are camped and bubbled constantly. A few large (been kicked out of sov null) alliances dwell here.

Oh god I joined a null corp without checking where their alliance was based.

Compared to the time I was in Branch, it's weird having one system completely "owned" then the other full of reds.

GW is nowhere near as good as it was way back in 2004/2006 With INFOD/Curse Alliance/Foundation/VOTF to name a few infamous corps and alliances that resided in GW and made it awesome

Now its empty pretty much all the time

I have lived in Venal, Delve, Syndicate, Stain and Curse at one point or another. I would have to vote Curse for the healthy mix of PVP and ISK making opportunities. Curse is more suited to a medium sized alliance with an average fleet size of 10-40ish. Curse borders many active sov regions which is great for black ops, roaming, and campaigns. Couple this with some pipes for easy intel white ch means fast counters to roaming gangs and the approx 300mil per hour made running Angel missions (when you do it right) and you end up with all the right indridients for a home to house your group.
