Just do something for the long term vets.

Let them entirely remove 1 skill of their choosing. Lose the SP and all. 1 skill completely removed -- all trained levels gone.

Of course someone will read it wrong and do something like get rid of their titan piloting skill but that's a consequence worth reading about as the bemoan their misinterpretation or poor click, with confirmations and such. "but... but... I didn't mean to get rid of that skill!!!"

Just make sure CCP does fix any such issues but fixing it is 1-way (option gone) and that they must post on these forums with that char so the entire community gets a good laugh out of the situation.

I figure the few that do mess up will provide sufficient entertainment for everyone - newbie and vet alike.

Have been giving all this reset thing lately a bit of thought and is something I would like to see ... so start all your trolling.

Looked at the skills that I have and there are many I would never need or use again, some skilled many years ago as I started on this journey call Eve Online. So having the opportunity to relocate unwanted skill points would be a welcome thing. I would be very surprised if many long standing pod pilots did not feel the same way.

So, CCPs 10th anniversary 1 off gift can be.

(1) A 10mil skill reset of your choice.

OR

(2) An opt-in to totally reset losing all implants,plugs,agent standings ,,, ect ,,, ect ,,,,ect.


This is not some thing I do normally post on the forums, too many idiots who log in once and think they know all that there is to know but really don't know shite. I will take my usual course of action and make a few enquires, after all T3 cruisers were my idea. But thats another story ... fly safe o7

10 m SP is enough to COMPLETELY reset your character into another race. You could insta-train all ships skills of a race to V, from frigates to Carrier... and you think this would be good for the game?

I support this suggestion. I can't find a way to motivate why we would be entitled to it and I would have no use for it personally but I see no harm in it so there's no reason to oppose it either.

Unless of course you actively trained mining skills, and should be stuck with them regardless.
I never trained mining 1, it just shows up as an ugly tumor on my character sheet.

Don't see the purpose of an SP remap. Would prefer a regular remap cause all the added skills lately messed up my training plan.
Anyway, I always was patient and planned well ahead, I even researched EVE a month before starting my toon so I could have a perfect plan and a well focused pilot. (I thought race and subgroup still mattered but Apocrypha just changed that at the time) Because of that I ended up with a beautifully skilled pvp-pilot with zero wasted indy skills.. CCP giving in to something as lame as "get your dream remapped focused toon" with a click of a button and no effort at all, would be an absolute slap in the face for players who did care and showed the dedication to put in the work.
To the OP, If you want a perfectly skilled toon, start a new one like everyone of us had to do.

So in short, I don't think the "get-it-now" attitude of some players should be rewarded..
