Wow there is so much wrong with this post.

Goonswarm doesn't control an entire MMO. They play a big role because of how successful they are at using the tools in the game (and metagame) to win. But to say they "control" every aspect of Eve is ********. If you hate the goons so much, make an alliance/coalition as successful (actually it'd need to be more successful) and wipe them off the map. Good luck... you'll need it because they have an extremely strong community that will take something awful to disband them.

Didn't say at all that I hated the Goons.

There are megaguilds (corps) in every MMO that dominate the scene. Some manage to stay at the top for years, others eventually crumble under their own weight due to infighting, power struggles, etc. The Goons have managed to endure and remain the ruling class in EvE for a very long time. No, they may not affect your day-to-day dealings, but there's no denying their overall impact on the game.

It just amuses me that so many of you profess to despise the Goons, yet no one ever does anything about it. There's a lot of hardcore gamer, leet PvPer spurge on the forums about how harsh life in this game can be. Most of this yammering come from risk averse hi-sec war deccing "merc" corps who couldn't PvP their way out of a wet paper bag against non-industrial targets. The rest comes from blob members or hot droppers.

It's just funny to read these forums and see how easy it is to troll just by mentioning the Goons.
