For a moment I thought I was on the AboveTopSecret forums. They also have this kind of crap on there talking about information divulged to them in confidence.

But just had to Share it with EVERYBODY.

As the rage posting over Incarna was entering the "sustained for so long these people must be really ticked" phase the price of plex started to rise.
People were using thier bank of isk and not RL money for renewals - waiting on the winter expansion.
Also there were fewer casual players who often fund their play by buying plexs and selling for reasonable prices quickly.

we are already seeing a rise in players online just on the strength of Hilmar's interview and i predict a leveling of plex prices until the week of the winter expansion - then it's up to what CCP presents.

What i'm trying to figure out is the train of thought the OP used to believe anyone would worry about his post.

I love a good market manipulating conspiracy theory as much as anybody, but this is transparently flawed.

The price rise of PLEX is directly related to the massive new ISK source resulting from incursions, even with their crippled bounties it is huge, couple this with the general dissatisfaction limiting fresh supplies and that explains the rise.

PLEX are already past their peak price and will continue to fall, this will accelerate if Crucible is seen to be a success because many returning players will selling a PLEX or two. It is one of the best benchmarks of a successful patch.

Well, lets start off with the fact that your probably one of the investors posting on the forums scaring people into buying up more of the plex.

Wonderful story, wonderful, so many like this one pop up on this section on the forums, the entertainment factor from you GOONS is actually pretty high grade.

Now that we that out of the way....

Every one get onboard and push it to Obviously not 600 and then try to get out of it before one of the big guys decides to sell off.

Your posts in other sections are equally bad. Also for someone who doesn't seem to be able to play with others (https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=28247&find=unread) I don't think you have any real life friends anyway, enjoy your hand.

Quit already, the quota of bad posting on this forum is already over critical.

Problem with that rule is that the price of PLEX/Game Time has been rising constantly upwards over the entire period that EVE has been out and never been going down, nor would there be a reason for CCP to intervene. A single PLEX now costs over 50% more than a 90 day GTC did a few years ago, and even back then people were crying out that the prices were "ridiculous" (270m for a 90).

PLEXes reaching 1b a few years down the line will probably happen.

Troll or not, rumor spreading speculator pumping prices for profit or not.......

... it is an intersting story and would be particularly so if it actually were to happen.

Sandbox.. great sandbox where some players can manipulate the environment so other players must respond and so cool that it applies to more than ship to ship combat.

The anti RMT throws in another angle .... it makes the post more suspicious yet it would be the ripest scenario.

- as i've pointed out a number of times, I do believe that plex prices can be pushed higher because the motivation of the largest segments of ISK sellers are not based about value in terms of "a good deal" but on their interest in the game and their aim to get certain specific game assets.---- if they needed 1.2 billion isk they very well would sell just two plex instead of the 3 then need to sell at 400 million.

- certainly there will be less isk>plex buyers at 600 million that incremental extra account you aren't doing much with will get shuddered....but still there is a point where isk risk players would pay even a billion isk a month to keep their titan pilot running or some lucrative industrialist who 's earnings monthly dwarf a 1 billion cost.

On to the RMT
plausible that the RMT could be -interupted- but the smart economists must know they will rise again like rats. The more isk they need to give layers for their money more effort and risk of detection then need to take on to fill that demand.... they will start droppiing.

I don't know much about the rent thing though. That does not ring true to me. I would expect that they earned healthy mutiples of the rent they pay farmind. 5 , 10 or 15 times what they pay in monthly rent.

Still, even if i couldn't break the back of the RmT it would certainly haze them a bit having thier real $ income cut and their effort and atttention rise.
