As safe as anywhere can be. Get it out of your mind that Highsec guarantees safety. It only guarantees consequences.

Login is always safe (unless you logged-out in space). Undocking, not so much.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

I didn't know Burn Jita was going on, so I flew my Charon in, full of ore. Nobody at the jumpgate, warp to dock, sold my wares, and left. Lots of fighting going on outside the 4-4 station, but nobody locked me, and I left. I realized later I should have checked the price of the Charon, as I was going to sell it, so I flew it back. Again, unmolested, and I sold it for a huge profit (bought it three years ago for half). With all the attention on people in combat ships, it was actually a safer trip yesterday. Travel there at your own risk though.

So you'd kill yourself if you lost your clone? I'm guessing you'd wrist yourself refers to cutting your wrist? lol, the high sec carebears really take this game serious. 600mil isn't that difficult to get back, and although annoying, losing things is part of eve. I'd suggest don't take the game so serious, I've lost more than that without even blinking.
