Would it be possible to make the systems "dots" / squares a bit bigger (maybe with a preference)? So that at 100% zoom they are better visible already.

Sure, we could look into improving the visibility there. When a system has a beacon / incursion / sov, it often gets quite busy so we have to be careful how much we would enlarge the actual system marker.

This program interested me greatly. But, being cautious as I am, I decided to test the waters first and see how much of a connection the program is to the creators, Goonswarm.

It is no secret their high sec gang squad is MiniLuv. So we had a spy watch their movements. I on the other hand loaded up a freighter that would prove profitable according to their own metrics. The catch was with their current firepower, I needed to travel to a 0.5 system in order for them to be able to suicide gank me.

So I used this travel program they are pushing in this very thread to set up a route that would take me through a 0.5 system. After being cargo scanned by one of their known scanners, I stopped. Opened the program and used it to set out on a new route fifteen jumps away passing by a 0.5 system.

Moments after plotting the course in the program, our spy reported the Goonswarm gang force had started hauling ass towards, you guessed it. The same 0.5 I was going to passing by. Once they reached the 0.5 system, I opened the map program and created a brand new route in the opposite direction. Again, we saw MiniLuv race to the new 0.5 system on the route I plotted.

This program is a scam of the highest order. Do not, I repeat do NOT, use it. All you are doing is feeding intel directly to those who with to harm you.

While the :tinfoil: posts are rather amusing, I would like to remind everyone that any user can easily see what their computer is connecting to on the internet by using a tool such as netstat:

Users from many major alliances (and, I've heard, even within CCP) have checked out GTS and it does not do anything malicious, nor report route/user information to any server. If it did, this thread would be swarming with outrage from compsci / IT / sysadmin type people.

edit: after posting, I realize that maybe the joke here was that the user posting that story was named "Fallacies". Well played.

You're telling me we could have just used this program instead of looking what gate you're warping to and following you?

Garpa is simply awesome. I've been using it for a while now and it's totally cool for quick decision making and route changes. Also the route can be pushed to your clipboard so you can link it in any in-game channel (and I.G. link the systems/dests etc too).

also its capital jump planner is amazing too :) I'm usually the guy telling everyone about in on coms, great to hear your releasing it to a wider audience.

I think I have to check this out. Even planning routes with paper maps on hand is much lesser of a headache than using in-game tool, so anything that facilitates that is definitely welcome.

That said, the real reason I'm going to download it for is to be able to put my tinfoil hat and blame :someone else: next time I'll get podded in null P
