EVE TV at Fanfest – Schedule & FAQ

Hi everyone, as announced we will be streaming Fanfest this year over Twitch , below is our schedule along with responses to some frequently asked questions. If you have any more questions please ask them in this thread.

FAQ

• Can I watch for Free?
Yes, there will be a free stream available on Twitch, the stream will be limited in quality (not in HD) but viewable.

• What’s the HD Stream / Twitch Subscription package?
o The HD package gives you a full HD (1080) stream of the Fanfest.
o Near instant access to the presentation recordings (available shortly after each presentation has finished).
o In game Quafe commemorative t-shirt (EVE Online) - both male and female versions.
o Pirate Faction Rookie Frigate (EVE Online) - your choice of one of the five recently-released faction frigates for rookie pilots.
o 50 copies of the Quafe Scout vk.0 dropsuit (DUST 514) - a flashy and effective dropsuit for confident mercenaries.

• What does the HD Stream cost?
o 19.95 or 1 Plex

• Putting aside my enjoyment of the Fanfest stream, isn’t the value of the tradable in-game items much higher than the value of a Plex?
o Quite possibly…

• What is the subscriber option on CCP’s twitch channel?
o This is another way to buy the stream.
o However you should buy the stream through account management in order to receive the additional in game items, you will not receive these if you buy through Twitch!

• Any goodies for Twitch?
o Chat channels on Twitch will be restricted to subscribers only.
o You’ll also get a special Icon in chat.

• I haven’t bought the HD stream but I missed a presentation, when can I watch it?
o Non-HD Stream buyers will be able to watch presentations they missed a day later on twitch (still not in HD).
o HD Stream buyers will get near instant access to recordings after each presentation, all in HD.
o Full recordings of Fanfest including select presentations not show on EVE TV will be available on Youtube at some point in the weeks following Fanfest.

Not even YouTube? I'd really like to see that but a) it's not important enough for me to buy the stream just to watch that one event; and b) I'll be at work anyway.

If they were when the HD stream was first able to be bought, they certainly aren't now.

It won't be available immediately anywhere, we'll be doing a live mix for the EVE Tv stream but we're also recording every camera in the room individually along with who knows how many channels of audio so that we can then do a separate edit that will look and sound stunning. Right now I can't give an eta or say how that would be distributed.

Yes it will go out on both the free and HD streams and should go on until at least midnight, possibly as late as 2am.

No there won't be a repeat of the show "over night" as was done last year. HD stream buyers will have access to re-watch any presentation show on the stream at any time. Free stream viewers will have to wait for the end of the next day to get access to those replays.

If they were when the HD stream was first able to be bought, they certainly aren't now.

They will be, after Fanfest is over. Like with other one-time FF goodies, the price will rise over time.

Not broadcasting the single most viewed portion of fanfest because you can't figure out how to delay a live stream?

CCP didn't want that money anyway.

I can already see where this is going and don't have a problem with it; mo powah to CCP tbh.

That said, if it's going to be as or more expensive than the stream I won't be buying it. Just sayin'.

Do we know if there are going to be other feeds for the stuff twitch isn't broadcasting? Like I know at 11A they will be doing a panel on their World of Darkness MMO, and I would love to get some updates on that.
