What % of time are you flying the ship that you want to fly vs. what the fleet calls for?

Considering im the person who made the majority of my corps fleet doctrines I never seem to have this problem ^^

Never.

Literally.

I kind of chuckled when I read this. Is this because of your alliance doctrines or are you not actively playing or something?

I joined up as Armour logi. Skilled at it too and the Alliance is 100% shield. I have 9 fully fitted Augorors that just collect dust.

Currently training for the Osprey with a T2 fit.

But to be fair no logi player can ever get by just by specializing on either of the two. You have to be versatile.

And armour fleets will come in time

Other than that I don't have a single fit that features weapons. I am a logi/scout pilot so whenever it's time to break out the naga fleet or arty fleet or glass cannon fleet I'm going there as T1 tackle.

But I have never been in a fleet I didn't have a good time in so no complaints.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.

I'm normally happy with everything I am asked to fly, so 90% I am happy with what I'm in and maybe 10% I'm not?
My normal FC knows my strengths as a pilot and where he can use them, that's normally the roles I enjoy most as well because I'm good at them.

As for fittings I fly what I am told, if they want MWD and not AB then I fly MWD, if they want shield and not armour I fly shield. I'm not going to stop my fleet performing the way it should because I want to fly something which has no place in it.

I want to fly a Tengu 100% of the time.

I am not trained for a Tengu.

Therefore I never fly what I truly desire.

Eve-kill says enemy chance of survival is ~7.5%

I like to fly something that gets the job done, so I guess 92.5% of the time I'm flying what I want to fly.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

Depending on which alt I'm flying, the "like to fly" percentage ranges between 50% and 100%. Fleet alts, usually jump in a logi -- as I have loved those ships since they became part of EVE.

100% stuff I want to fly, mostly solo or tiny gang fights though.

I'd say 90% of the time.

I fly what I want, if the fleet don't have anything that suits my version of what I want, I don't join that fleet at that time. It's simple. But to be fair, we don't even have CTAs. If that's what you mean.

This for 3 1/2 years.

Quit my last corp when the resident loud mouth was crying about the ship I was flying...

All the corp ever wanted to fly was cheap crap. Frigates or Cruisers. The rare time we took out BattleShips as part of a fleet as soon as the FC saw an opposing force he would demand everyone dock up so as not to risk our expensive ships.... Stupid...

10% of the time I b*tch about what the other fleet members chose to fly.

Shame what you want to fly has cap dependent hardeners an afterburner and T1 plates because you're terrible.

A fleet doctrine has a number of ships for every role: DPS, antisupport, logistics, ewar, heavy tackle, fast tackle, and others. If you can't find a role you enjoy, I don't know what to say!

CVA doctrine has both shield and armor. The armor fleets are awesome. I was out last week in a full blown Aug/Guardian under Abaddons, just really impressive to see. Anyway if you want to put those Augoror's to use I'm sure there's a CVA corp that would be willing to sign you on. =-)
