Attacking the US is like kicking a tarbaby. Easy enough to do, and it looks like you've dones something significant, but then you realize you've done not much damage, and are now thoroughly stuck and can't escape.

Maybe we should teach B'rer Rabbit to more folks, and draw the links a bit more clearly...

Too bad "Song of the South" has been banned in the US for decades. I was lucky enough to see it at a drive-in in 1974 re-release.

Yeah. Not an actual ban, but a defacto one - the whole "Song of the South" movie/cartoon was racist as all hell, and Disney Studios is deeply embarased by it. But there were some core lessons hidden under all that nonsense.

Well WHDH is talking about the surviving suspect an aspiring medical student from AP.

Seems a lot of information is coming out of Russia now. Daddy has nothing but praise for his boys. "Theyre my angels"

Honestly, if I had done something like this, my family would have disavowed any knowledge of me.

I've now heard 3 call-in conversations NBC has had with people who went to high school with the younger guy, and he just does not fit the loner profile at all. Very outgoing and social guy. All his former classmates are in complete shock.
That matches. Older brother possibly dominating younger brother, older brother on a downward spiral, decides to lash out. Bad things ensue.

Try this:

Also: Fark is a pretty good source for an aggregator:

Even at the age of 9, I found the 'racist' things in it to be strictly accurate depictions of how people were treated at the time of the story. Depicting 'racism' is not the same thing as actual 'racism'.

I remember when Warner Brothers banned TV broadcasts of the Speedy Gonzales cartoons as they were afraid of backlash from the growing Latin community. They finally relented after over a decade after receiving a ton of mail from Mexican citizens about how they consider Speedy to be a National Hero.

But they still won't release the two Speedy cartoons that had his cousin "Slow-Poke Rodriguez". Those are indeed 'problematic'.

Probably not wrong, but another thread, perhaps.

Picked off the Fark aggregator:

Younger suspect was popular:
http://www.buzzfeed.com/rosiegray/former-classmates-shocked-by-boston-bombers-crimes

Older brother had some fairly odd plans for becoming naturalized:

So apparently the younger brother is the nicest person you could have hoped to meet. Many friends reporting they are shocked etc etc.

Older brother seems to be a blank.

But now being reported that the older brother had a makeshift suicide belt on when he was shot and injured. So I'm guessing he took at least one round to the head, as thats the practice here with suicide bombers. Put them down hard, and put them down permanently.

Given that the boston bomb has ball bearings and other projectiles that could have done a lot of damage.

Reports are that the older suspect died of gunshot and blast injuries - also that the vehicle the suspects were in had its windows blown out. Belt may've gone off anyway.

Can happen. I doubt Boston PD or MIT cops are trained in aiming for the head rather than the centre mass. It can trigger the belt.

That tells me its rather low grade and amateur. The ones here are nasty because those making them know their stuff.

News now of a campus being evacuated. Not sure which one.

Consistent with getting their info from teh interwebs - sophisticated approach, inexperienced execution. Which is consistent with 'lone wolf' situation.

You know, its really getting to me now with watching CNN on TV how they keep eulogizing the younger suspect, with him being so likeable etc. And forgetting the victims.

Yes, innocent until proven guilty. But if its true that he confessed upon jacking the SUV from MIT then he's gone pretty much bang to rights.

ABC news is reporting that the suspects confessed their role in the bombing to the guy they carjacked.

ABC is also reporting that their boys' father is calling on them to surrender, but also said if the police his son "all hell will break loose." Whatver the hell that means. Roll

Edit:

Remember that CNN is also the 'news' agency that praised the teenaged rapists in Ohio, and mourned the harm to their future.
CNN needs an enema.
