You might be looking for a long time, as I'm pretty sure Malcanis will make it through

I also find it ironic your alliance is several times larger than mine. He's a self-loathing large alliance member. There's nothing wrong with being in a large alliance. Many players that join large alliances go on to lead productive, full lives.

Short little story i want to share with you all.

Earlier today I sent everyone in my alliance a reminder to go out and vote in the closing hours of the CSM8 elections. Quite a few hadn't yet, so I felt good. And then I got a ping on our Jabber.

One of my corpmates in the US Army currently deployed to combat zones in Iraq told me he just voted with both of his still-running EVE accounts. Which he can't actually play because of where he is and their resources. But he voted.

So what's your excuse? GET OUT THERE AND VOTE!!!

All jokes and trolling aside, if one person does not equal one vote... then the whole thing is rigged from go. A guy who cannot even play, used the last few remaining accounts he had in order to equal two people, one of which does not really exist (evidently he had more then two originally and could have lopsided the vote even further if he were not deployed). Thus, large alliances will always own the CSM.

Ergo, the only reason to vote is if you are a member of a large alliance and one of your leadership is making a push for the CSM. The rest of us can go hold our yanks on election day for all the good it does us.

Actually the system works exactly like it does in the US. I have more money than you so I'm more important than you. Sorry bro.

US still has troops in Iraq? I thought they were out?

Although the uS system of election is bought, sold and corrupt as hell, one person still equals one vote. So your analogy is false and asinine. Have a nice day... bro.

not all of them, not yet anyway. Hopefully the guy is coming back by the end of the year

EDIT: Actually I asked and his unit was moved over, so he's in Afghanistan. Still hoping they let him come home soon

That's only true if people listen to people like you. If they don't listen to you, and go out and vote, then they'll dilute the influence of the organised groups.

I note that you are a member of a big nullsec alliance.

You clearly underestimate how many alt accounts null sec minions have. Have fun though. I am looking forward to not seeing a CSM sticker on your toon.

It's kind of funny you saying that, as Malcanis is one of the few "non bloc" candidates who I would put money on getting in.

If there weren't so many apathetic players we'd probably see a few more non bloc candidates getting in, and the very same apathetic players will soon be moaning that the new CSM doesn't represent them.

I'd certainly like to see a CSM with more non bloc people on it, and I voted accordingly.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Why should you have voted? Here was reason...

I'll be putting in approximately 360,000 times more effort into improving EVE..." --- Malcanis

Malcanis isn't shy about telling you what he would like see changed in Eve. If you supported those ideas you should have voted for him, but if you opposed them you should have voted for another candidate to counter Malcanis.

The one thing you can bet on is that Malcanis won't just disappear after the election... and he won't be silent.

Just my opinion.

One person with more accounts has more of an investment in this game than someone else with less, therefore their vote should be worth more.

One account = One vote

a) CCP have no way of telling which accounts belong to the same person.
b) if you're paying for an account you're investing in the game - the more you pay the more you've invested.
c) I doubt the large power blocs would bother creating new accounts just to try rig the CSM elections.

I've been paying people in rens 5m each NOT to vote.

CSM has less power over this game than my left nipple.

I say don't vote until CCP come up with a system where players actually have some power over game policy.
