'Best' factions for FW? (best npc FW corps)

First let me clarify and qualify my question.

* I'm not really interested in using FW to farm for ISK - if I happen to make a little great but not my primary goal.
* Not keen on joining a player run corp - I'm joining with alts and I don't know how much nor how frequent my FW game play would be - not fair to player corps.
* I'll probably stick to flying same faction ships for the racial faction I join (i.e. Rifters in Minmatar FW militia).

So my questions are:
* Which race has the 'best' FW npc militia? I guess I would rate best by most activity and least douchey (I've heard bad things from Caldari in this regard).
* Which races seem to have the best balanced and/or fun frigate and cruiser hulls? Since tiericide this may be a defunct question but hey might as well ask it anyway.

Thanks in advance for any comments. Big smile

At risk of being trolled by my fellow corpmates, I'd say go Gallente. Ships aside, we've got a pretty good setup going on. Common comms, common intel channels, common low-sec staging systems. And to be honest, we could always use more fast tackle. :)

The pursuit of excellence and stabbed plexing alts.

Gallente are much better structured, well organized, and just generally better prepared. If you fancy winning it would be smart to be on their side..

Also at the risk of getting trolled by corp mates lol.

Ok cool thanks for the replies. I'll probably join three different factions on three different alts (figure I should use the rest of my character slots). How are the other three factions? Any of them suck more than the others?

Stay away from Amarr sadly...

Caldari fights, but we are out numbered.

Aw that's too bad - a lot of the Amarr hulls were looking pretty good post rebalance. How is the Caldari npc militia? I read some place that they were a bit trollish and loved their smack-talk.

Minmatar seemed pretty well organized when we took a vacation out there. Lots of pvp to be had, small arena. Reminded me of Gladiator but in space.

Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?

Haha. If you go Gallente, fly Minmatar. Gallente ships are terrible.

At least select a race that has good ships. Minmatar are so 2012.

Well, I can't speak to the Gallente and Caldari militias but I've had a great experience in the Minmatar Militia. My talks with the Amarrian militia has been...mixed. Sometimes you see pretty cool guys out there but all too often you see a lot of arrogant, constantly enraged man-children flooding local whenever you're in a system with them.

Also, I know you said you weren't interested in a player corp but I really can't recommend them enough. There are plenty of great corps out there that are casual player friendly.

I'm not sure what you mean by the "caldari npc militia" I can only guess you mean the people in "the state protectorate" Because that is the npc militia corp for caldari. Each militia has an npc corp. But keep in mind all of these npcs corps will mostly just be farmers. The same people may be in all four of them.

Keep in mind that when you join FW you will have a militia chat that will can be accessed by all the corps. All the player corps and the npc corp can access militia chat. It is likely that militia chat that you are more interested in.

IMO the only reason to join the npc corp is to hang out and get a sense of what player corp you might want to join.

Make faction war occupancy pvp instead of pve https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=53815&#post53815

I like Amarr for FW but I would say to do anything in lowsec Algoes is a good start it can do more then 300dps with the right fit and can handle most anything that comes its way unless you are outnumbers 3 to 1

Yea I'm talking about the NPC corp. I know a FW experience would be better in player corp but I don't plan on playing it often enough to be acceptable to a player corp. Like I'll goof around with it for a few days or something and not come back to it for like 3 months. I don't see any corps being ok with that (unless I'm wrong).

For real? I thought after the tiericide thing most of the ships were pretty good. I'll probably only be flying T1 frigates and cruisers.

Yea that's the kind of info I'm looking for and the second post saying to avoid Amarr. Welp sounds like Caldari, Gallente and Minmatar for me! Now I just gotta decide which alt to create first (gonna train them on a separate account and transfer them over one at a time).

If you are a peasant, you will join the Gallente and Minmatar. If you are a well refined man, who likes his leather jacket and is not a wondering hobo - You will join Caldari or Amar.

Make your choice, and prove to us which man you are! If you are a woman, do not join Gallente - as they do not allow those in their militia.
