Why isnt there a missile drone boat?

Maybe this is a stupid question but I happen to like using missiles and I like using drones... yet every single drone boat is a hybrid user... I would even equip missiles against the bonuses except no launcher slots just turrets.

The only boat period that can fit launchers and has drone bonus is the Amarr destroyer it looks like.. and if you want to spend hundreds of millions a faction ship like gila

I'd say the guristas boats are the answer here, but apparently CCP agrees with you and is adding one.

Perhaps I mis-understanding the OP, but isn't the Rattlesnake what you're looking for?

well I was referring to t1 options without spending hundreds of millions of isk.... like a cruiser or a battlecruiser option. Rattlesnakes and gila are fine for when you can do level 4s but when first starting out there is nothing for newer or broke players.

Going to read that link now see what it says.... more options is always good.

Prophecy can be fitted with missiles and uses drones.

i see the amarr line now has missile options.... didnt even notice that before now.... guess thats where my next training will be lol... This char started from scratch and went straight for tengu and can use the Heavy missiles very well so a cruiser/battle cruiser option with drones should be fun as hell, just have to get drone skills up one of my old iterations from last try of the game was a gallente that flew myrmidons like 3 years ago... going to be fun to do it again with all the drone augs that have been added coupled with missiles that never miss ever!...

This really was the perfect time to come back to the game!

The phoon currently can field 5 sentries and 5 launchers. After the change it looses drone bandwidth, but then the geddon will work.
Gila works great for lower level missions too..

I also can say from flying L3s that a missle Prophecy is pretty solid. You'll have fun with that one.
Curse can fire missiles too, but that ship is for making other players cry.

worm kind of misses the good stuff like damage bonus but max skill can push out some drones as a decent runner up prize. Not sure with AI aggro changes how good they are but last I ran it was a versatile boat. Get aggro, spin around a can, watch drones work. Only pita was it actually needed sebo to work for pve. Like actually need, its range is crap to even target select for drones. Other boats...meh, not much of pve sebo fan at least for what I ran.



But to be honest...in this area I'd go jsut pick a side. for what it takes to max rattler, cnr or hell golem say go missile/torp. good but not great drones skills I would train ofc.

With the drones and gallante ship trains for the guruista boats, you could half ass gun train your way into a domi and decide if you really want the t2 guns or not (I know its eve law to run t2 or else....if its not your primary dps and kronos or vindi not on the wish list well bend the rule I say lol).

As mentioned above, the new Amarr drone lineup can fit a decent amount of missiles and although they don't have bonuses specifically for them, they are quite good options on those boats because of damage selectability and no cap use.

isk is just a tool, like ammunition
if you want something bad enough, then you'll be prepared to work harder to get it
if your not prepared to work for it, well you didn't really want it then did you.

The Gila is totally awesome
good dps, tank options & mobility .. has enough versatility to offset that cost

a +5% cpu implant will definitely come in handy with the gila though
figured i'd better mention that, as approx 100+ million for a hardwiring might be objectionable to you

The new armageddon will be a beast. Also weapon system will be unbonused it still can easily dish out 1000+ dps.

Wait...you said you trained for a tengu (~1 billion fit right) and blink at the cost of a gila.....

Missiles+Drones actually has few but very efficient options like Gila and the well known Rattlesnake but there are other cheaper options in some races.

Just stick to Gila ATM, kicks that one.
