I'm thinking to leave the game...

I'm posting this on a noob char as don't want to be identified for shame reasons. This is not fake.

I started (seriously) in January 2007. Had a char in Red Moon Rising but suspended account and didn't retake. Started doing missions and ended in a Raven doing L4. Nerf to missiles (cruise). Put drones to the Raven. Nerf to the missiles (again). Switched to Drake. Started to check the possibility to do L5. Trained for Nighthawk due to passive tank. Another nerf to missiles (last one). Trained Nighthawk. Started L5. Lost the NH in 2 weeks (800M with T2 rigs at that moment) in a 0.4 due to huge signature radius (I didn't see the probes in directional). Came back to L4. Thought "Empire is my place". All this time have followed training the main char of this account, and doing L4 with the Nighthawk (more effective than Dominix / Tengu / Raven / etc). After all these years, the main char of this account has > 102M SP. Actually he's only training for Logistics V (and, btw, next one will be Energy Emission Systems at V). In brief words, Basilisk. Have decided this as, doing Incursions when I'm not in university (and sometimes like now) I saw that the gangs are plenty of DPS but no so of Logis. After this, will keep training the industrial char (T1/T2 science & manufacturing char).

First reason for upset of this game: EVE-CENTRAL. I study software engineering (only 1 year for finish) and made my own VB.NET 2010 program that pick up the XML's for prices in Jita (raw materials and final items). It makes calculations and show the best items in % of profit. Now, Eve-Central is "forbidden" (as long as one thing can be forbidden) by the EULA. This is the reason why I train a ME/PE/Invention/Manufacturing char in this account. In addition I have "TONS" of L4 items getting dust waiting to be reprocessed or sold depending the % of profit (like 10-15B ISK of those ones, depending the fluctuations of the market). And that without counting to reprocess a part of them and make the items that my program says I have to do for more profit. This is the last (and most recent) fail.

I have tried other paths in the game. Even scamming. Actually it's a productive way of business (the most) but it's even more boring than mining (and you can imagine it how can be if you are Hulk pilot). All this with only 1 account, so you can imagine the profits with 2+ accounts. Yes, I'm one of those rare persons that having years in this game only have 1 account. And, btw, never bought a PLEX.

Second fail. This char was created, in a starting point, for the moment that I finish the industrial / trade char (the end of this year) start training for wear an Avatar. Yes. A titan. I know they are kind of useless comparing old days, but I would want to be in one. You can call it megalomania.

The second fail is the PVP. Yes. The funny part of the game. As you may have guessed, with 102M (and the largest branch is Spaceship Command) of SP I can wear a lot of things. To be precise, this:

- T1: Until BS in Caldari, Gallente, Minmatar. Until BC in Amarr. Destroyers included.
- T2: AF, HAC's, CommandShips, CovertOps.
- T3: Tengu
- Drones: until sentries. Gallente & Minma T2's.
- Electronics: EW, can fit a Scorpion with warranties.
- Guns: T2 railguns / Blasters / AC's. All large.
- Missiles (all of them), torpedoes. But citadels (I don't have capital related skills).
- Navigation: 4M (AccCont, AB, EvasMan, FuelConserv, WarpDriveOp)

In addition, have trained for other things in SiSi if not skills in TQ, searching for that ship that allows me to do solo-pvp when I get bored in empire, either L4 or ultimately Incursions. Have tried (and lost) a lot of ships. All I can fit. Smalls... mediums... large... blues... yellows... whatever. You see my killboard of loses in Battleclinic and the first thing you think is "Is this a joke!?" You then go to see my skills in some web where uploaded some time ago (I had 95M at that moment) and you conclude "This char has to be fake". I even joined a PVP corp for trying to learn. Won't say the name for not being prosecuted by them or alts. It's not his fault. I was kicked of that corp for being useless for the matter. In literal words of the chief: "You are not able to PVP. No matter what you try. If we stay with you we lose our ships". And actually one of them was a 5-1 Basilisk, so was serious business. But well. Gave up. Followed with the carebear activities. BTW, a most part of this lost ships were in TQ. Being a carebear I can barely buy a Vindicator (fitted with T2's). You can imagine how upset I am (and how many ships I've lost).

Why explain all this? Retake the point why I created this char. Avatar. Megalomania. ¿¡PVP!? These days I'm seeing the threads for rebalance the BS's. I can't post there as have not entity for stating opinions (and don't like to troll or lie), as have lost almost all it can be lost (capital includeds in SiSi, as they give a reedemed packet with all the super-capitals). So, I gave up and assume I can't PVP. And, reached this state, I concluded: "Why I play? Every time I win a lot of ISK's I lose them with a new toy. To invite a friend and pay PLEXes for them until he got Vindi trained and come with me at HQ Incursions. Well. When I invite a friend to make funny things in the game (PVP), as the carebear activites are really boring, what we do!? With me will lose the ship. With a huge gang in 0.0 roams maybe he get fun, but BTW I will keep losing the ship. And for not being satisfied with PVP, as always get angry when I enter that topic, I leave the game". And, in addition, If I get tired of the game and I publish that I giveaway my assets / ISK's, they will think it's a scam (I always think it).

A last thing. You, CCP, have the reason for not being a lot of players. You forbid other things that can actually give us fun (see how the items fluctuate in the market, for example) in a global way. It's the thing that you make saying that Eve-Central is out of this world. You make the PVP, indeed, real PVP. Your system of risk-reward take out the most part of the fun for those that we can't go to low / null. If you only leave one funny thing in the game, and we are not able for practise as all the story with that thing can be written in one word (upset) "WHAT THE **** ARE WE DOING IN THE GAME!?".

In before the move to OOPE for being a 'I Quit' Thread.

Also, I too can appropriate your belongings.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I once got out of the drunk tank and was too hungover to make it home. So i slept in a grassy spot in an alley. I woke up to an old italian man poking me with a cane asking if i was alright. I had a grape slurpee after that and it was amazing.

After the patch we're giving the market some gentle supply restriction, like tying one wrist to the bedpost loosely with soft silk rope. Just enough to make things a bit more exciting for the market, not enough to make a safeword necessary.  -Fozzie

Hey there, totally understanding you here. Been playing since 2007 as well.

DON'T QUIT. Keep your character and one day I promise you, you will want to come back.

In the meantime, play Dust514.

Make sure not to let your Corp office rental monthly fee drain your ISK. LOL...

Good luck.

Obviously you didn't read the whole comments section on the dev blog about cache scraping. They are only going after the cheaters, not people who use Eve Mon and stuff like that. CCP Stillman has said several times in posts that nothing is really changing, only going after the cheaters, i.e. botters and so on. If you can use programs like EveMon and Eve-Central now, you still will be able to.

I'm glad you're leaving, EVE doesn't need people as dumb as you are.

Well maybe you should try try some frigate combat with red versus blue.

Or maybe start a new account all together and join EVE university.

Looking to talk on VOIP with other EVE players? Are you new and need help with EVE (welfare) or looking for advice? Looking for adversarial debate with angry people?

The problem is your attitude towards the problem.

I don't have PS3. I approve what Anonymous did when CCP anounced it was not going to do it for PC. BTW, I don't like FPS's. There's only one game that I play in addition to this: LotRO.

By the way, If in December decide for not re-pay the anual fee and leave the game, and don't receive a real useful advice in this thread, you will receive my assets / ISK. As the stupid posters over you have not said nothing of interest.

To the above posters. **** YOU OFF!

You will be pleased to hear that EVE Central isn't being banned by the EULA or any other document/entity.

You wll be displeased to hear that you probably are bad at PVP. I am sorry I cannot help you.

Seeing as the eve central thing was on the top of your list though, I hope you are not quitting now.

I plan on living forever.......so far, so good.

And to get the prices from the web and make whatever you want with them is not scraping? It's a good new, but however it's useless to win a lot of money if then I lose it all in PVP. You can find kind of interesting (as some posters in these forums seem to think) that we get a lot of iskies for then lose them in PVP, but I don't find anything funny in it. Call me practical... I get fun If I win combats, not If I always lose them.

What part of "have tried with all that I can try" have not understood? The frigates are included. I can afford a lot of them (I would not afford faction items for that), but always losing them makes me angry. I lost one ship due to Red making a mission had to set in yellow for picking up an item from a cargo (not the same corp of 2 chars and with the main I couldn't as was repairing standings) and when I jumped to a system there were 30 of that corp. And, BTW, RvB it's kind of annoying. It's the new school for PVP as before there were others. Nothing won't change for entering that or other one. Never.

Are you sure? The latest dev responses say that cache scraping is totally illegal, but they super promise not to ban you for it, though you will absolutely get banned if you use it, unless you're doing something CCP likes, though obviously they can't tell you what that is. All clear? Good.

You haven't got the point. If I can win a lot of money is for then use it in PVP. The fact that EC isn't banned don't take out the fact that I will finish doing boring things in the game. As always I do something funny, I get angry.

I think you can't read between the lines iskflakes. They said their focus is on totally different things than eve central type scrapes, they also said its always been against the EULA...

*sigh* Emo quit as well if you can't cope with it.
