I don't.

Conversation never gets past them telling me to be my age and stop playing silly games.

This is not a signature.

I have never told my friends about Eve. I recently partially "came out" to my girlfriend of 3 years, but even that was traumatic.

Show them a spread sheet and tell them to explain it to you, after all it is just a silly game.Lol

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

"It's about spaceships, it's cruel, the most difficult, and most-bad-a**-game"

After that I buy a PLEX to feel that I'm fitting in this game, because i make profit.

A space game evolved from a spreadsheet while the GUI never made it past Excel 95 the ingame gfx is quite good. So is the handling and the depth of the game. Macros were and are a problem.

Odyssey: Repacking in POS hangars for modules +1,  but please for other stuff too, especially containers. Make containers openable in POS hangars.

Sudoku with graphics. Then instead of showing the game, show a spreadsheet used to "solve" a problem within the game.

My girlfriend kind of understands it, she's played MMOs. The "community" aspect kind of eludes her, however.

My problem is convincing her that my interest is healthy and balanced, as opposed to her ex-boyfriend who played WOW for hours and ignored his kids...

A place I would take my worst enemy and leave there to suffer in damnation.

A place they would not wish to see.

How is it that explaining pods is the most difficult part for you guys?? I usually don't have problems until they want to second guess the physics of wormhole space...

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

I explained eve, from my point of view, to my father recently...
" it's a sandbox game/universe all on the same server. You can get away with almost anything from robbing people, tricking them into giving you all their stuff and so on. There's non consentual pvp so you can ambush people that are just minding their own business. You can set up your group in a way that gives you an unfair advantage over smaller groups so they can't do anything to you, ransom them and kill them anyways..."

Then I described James 315's new order and what they do. My dad now has a trial account Lol

It's a little bit like work without the fun... very relaxing, no pressure...

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

worst spreadsheet interface ever.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

I usually just say its about blowing up internet spaceships.

Never had anyone show any further interest after that.
