You're posting quite a few times about highsec, for someone who doesn't care about it at all.

Well:

1. It IS actually relevant to EVE's major problems, because while carebear power creep is only one issue, it's the one which has killed more MMO's than any other single issue.

2. Even if 1. weren't true, it's laughable to attack a group of EVE players for not being "serious enough" and "having too much fun." That attack presupposes it's own futility: if the target really isn't serious, then they won't care about the attack. If they do care about the attack, then they aren't that nonserious. It's an oxymoronic accusation.


This would be more concerning if Eve was like other MMOs, but it has non-consensual pvp on as a default (which is cool). I am posting about hisec because I have an opinion, but it still won't affect me in the same way. I am honestly flabbergasted why anyone would think James' plans would save Eve. Player retention, on the other hand, is a very real concern. I never claimed NO was gullible - just that their proposed solutions are so off the mark as to be untenable without affecting a lot of other things. How is there "carebear power creep"? You can still suicide gank, they still don't fleet up, and mining barges are still weak.
If it's truly obvious that James is being satirical, then you can't blame players for not really taking it too seriously.

If you wait until CBC has destroyed EVE, then it's too late to speak up against it. Just like it was too late to save UO, for the people that waited until the ncpvp switch was flipped to 'OFF'.

Yes his methods are totally within the rules

It is just a carebear picking on other carebears.

It is nothing special or heroic.

It is kind of sad really, a carebear teaching other carebears to HTFU, while hiding in a corner and whimpering.

yes, EVE is not Ultima Online, thank you Captain Obvious. A slippery slope fallacy would be if someone said "buffing mining ship EHP will bring in more carebears, who will demand more and more carebear nerfs to PVP, driving the PVPers away, and before long EVE will be nothing but 100% carebears, inevitably". this is a fallacy, because real situations have both positive and negative feedback, and so the possibility of a middle ground must be considered. Nothing I said resembles that at all, so if you had any familiarity with slippery slope fallacies whatsoever, you would have not made that silly accusation.

It is so nice when James 315, admits he is too cowardly to fight against targets that want to shoot first.

This is why the New order are in Hi-sec, they hide behind CONCORD, using them for protection while at the same time abusing those people with enough guts to fly around in a ship that cannot mount a turret or missile.

Bunch of cowards.


Why aren't you making threads about how disgusting and cowardly all the highsec bears who do the EXACT same thing are?

If they abuse the mechanics to make it difficult for us, why can't we abuse the mechanics to make it annoying for them?

They're still free to gank us with catalysts.

Oh and James 315 is a Hi-sec bear, there is no difference he is risk adverse, just like any miner.

You seem to have a problem with the mechanics though, and I agree. We should nerf the hell out of corp-dropping/reforming during wars.
