Great show as always guys and i appreciate the tact with which you handled controversial subjects.

I think you made the right decision in delaying your plan to move to a C5. Low end wormholes are the place for small gang pvp and it sounds like that’s what you enjoy ... However, i don’t think you would have that much to fear from the larger entities if you did make the jump. A bad CEO or disagreeable corp culture tends to be the main reason for an eviction and you guys seem pretty cool to me.

I can’t remember who said “C5 & C6 wormhole pvp is stagnant” but i agree with them completely. I think it would make a really interesting segment if you got a bunch of high end wormhole dwellers on the show to discuss what is wrong with C5/C6’s and what CCP could do to address those issues.

on mobile when I try to click any of the links it 404's out.

This is strange.

On the desktop I can access the site as normal. But from my phone, I only see up to episode 3, even when viewing in desktop mode.

edit: This seems to be something that's been going on for a while.

You really should get this fixed or find a mirror.

I know. the guy that has all the hosting info and stuff had a surgery so he has been out of commission. I'll look into mirrors. RSS feed is the most reliable along with iTunes though.

I don't think you understand. You can't grab it even through feedburner because the files are still at the same place.

I'm sure many others just say forget it and move on. Honestly I'm not going to spend more than the 20 minutes I have trying to get it to work. Shame because I liked the show.

I think you doing something wrong...RSS feed grabs the correct files 10 minutes after I publish(same goes for iTunes). I know the problem you are having and like I said as soon as the dude gets out of the hospital I will work to fix it. Until then my hands are tied.

Hi guys, nice episode.
I was sad to hear that recent events are putting you off a C5 move so I'm going to dump my 2c here ;)

While youre considering a move to a C5 WH, you should also consider what static you want that C5 to have.
There is a big difference between how C5>C5/6 corps can expect to opperate compared to a C5>C4/3/2 (No one wants a C1 static) corp.
Basically you want to be able to engage with the people youre going to connect to.
In a C5>C5/6 this generally means you need a reasonable size T3 fleet with logi support and at least some access to capitals.
In a C5>C4/3/2 however, the fleets you will need to bring to fights down your chain will be no different than the one you currently use in your C4>C3 as the people you run into will be the same.
You will of course be rolled into by a different breed of corps so you should be able to engage with them on at least some level.

Realistically, the chance of you being evicted from a C5>C3/2 hole is not that high.
Yes, it's easier than a C4 but someone sould still need to want to do it and given you give fights and are reasonably well known/respected via the podcast, I would say it is fairly unlikely.
(As a note, all of the recent evictions on the forums have been people cashing in long term personal grudges.)

A C5>C3/2 hole will allow you to maintain the same style of PVP as you do now but will also open up limited access to the higher class PVP world.
The benefits of C5 space are obviously also the easy ISK access and while I know you are not a PVE corp, you stil do need to fund your PVP and being able to throw ISK at things is one of the great benefits of WHs.

Personally if I was setting up a small corp in a C5 I would go for a C5>C2 WH. The reason I'd go for a C2 static over a C3 static is that C2s have dual statics so you will always have a kspace through your static, just like a C3, but also further WH access for more PVP potential.

Ultimately it's your decision but I think high end WH space needs more corps like yours.

There is no Bob.

Good post from Jack.

After living in a C5 > C3 for a quartal, I must stay that this combo is not really suitable for PVP -minded folks. Incoming C5s are extremely rare, and ~because of Murphy~, they are opened by bears and only by fighters when you are not ready for pew, everyone logged off or already gone out to find fights elsewhere.

C3s are almost completely empty of any kind of PVP, C2s are much better.

It's a great hole to live if you can handle selibacy, C3s are pretty nice for finding lowsec pvp and logistics routes, C5s give extra money, and there is sleeper PVE for pilots of all skill levels. If you are looking for a target-rich environment, tactical gameplay and frequent good fights, choose another static.

That said, I'm not sure if wormholes are really the PVP environment I'm even looking for. C5/6 statics have previously familiar entities bashing each others with the same old fleet comp, lower classes have ganks, and that's the whole spectrum of it.

Good post Roime except for that part Lol C3s are awesome because a lot of people use them to make isk. We get a lot of ganks and even a good fight once in a while in C3s. Like anything else in wormhole space, it all boils down to a willingness to scan and roll for targets.

No trolling please

I've lived in a C3, in a C2 with C3 static, C4 with C3 static and now this C5, and I really can't agree with that. Could be a timezone issue (even though EU is the most active TZ), but these days finding even bears is a rare event.

Sure, there is the occasional bear gank, but actual PVP is really extremely rare, and in most of those cases the fight does not involve the locals, which are very small entities because of the statics. C2s host bigger and more active corps and even alliances, leading to more engagements. C2 with C2 and lowsec statics would be ideal for PVP, but that means pitiful PVE income.

We have a 1bil hole, so rolling that is as effortless as it gets, but still the amount of systems you can roll in one evening is hilariously low compared to what you roam through in k-space. Furthermore roaming around is really a lot more fun than rolling and scanning, and involves the whole fleet instead of just scouts.

There will inevitably be evenings of rolling that lead to absolutely zero fun, and it's really not just me who finds these rather frustrating and demotivating.

Anyway, compare C3s with other regions in EVE http://www.eve-census.com/regions

better than C4s, but what wouldn't be :D

EDIT: take a look at the shiptypes that die in C3s:

TOP DESTROYED SHIPS

DRAKE - BATTLECRUISER 296
VENTURE - FRIGATE 203
TENGU - STRATEGIC CRUISER 179
RETRIEVER - MINING BARGE 158
NOCTIS - INDUSTRIAL 128
MANTICORE - STEALTH BOMBER 107
HERON - FRIGATE 101
BUZZARD - COVERT OPS 97
DOMINIX - BATTLESHIP 77
IMICUS - FRIGATE 75

and the ships that kill them, paints a clear picture of bears getting ganked by cloaky T3s.
