Retribution - Client "ghost crash" with open socket

CCP... Please!

Presently, there is a condition where the client will freeze. Sounds will loop (like a scratched CD). However, the client remains ALIVE in the game with a valid living open socket connection.

I'm running two clients with my main and my alt. My main and alt is flying PVP in Red V. Blue. All of a sudden my alt client crashes, but I can still see my purple buddy alt in space, sitting like a dumbbutt. The fleet commander warps the fleet to a gate, and I am amazed my headless alt takes the warp with us all. Upon landing on the gate, the FC commands JUMP. Poor little headless ALT does nothing but sit in space. Client locked up. Death is upon him soon. After I start another client and log in, he then warps to the 1M KM safe spot. This happens on my main too.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE for PVP.

This is the "client freeze" issue you see in other threads. The things you can to reduce its occurrence:

Close all other applications that access the internet. Torrents, browsers, mail, and so on. Especially Torrents.

Run just one client in critical situations, like PvP ops.
