Hey CCP so I asked Reddit how faction warfare could be improved...

How would you improve faction warfare?

I know I asked for something similar to this last year, and it's been talked about by a lot of people. The problem you face when building and running a FW corporation or alliance is that you can't make an income at the corp level doing what your corporation does.

For example, a nullsec corp is able to make income from ratting taxes, moons, PI, etc. Things that generally a nullsec corporation already does.

If you want to build a corp and focus purely on FW, you can't really do any corp funded programs. All our funding comes from outside activities not even remotely involved in FW. It'd really be nice to get a tax much like other corps benefit from.

there are already several threads in the warfare/tactics forum section covering this topic even though most of them started more aggressive "e.g fw is still broken". Corp LP tax, backwards running timers (or timer resets), ship restrictions, no real use of BCs in sov warfare etc. nothing really new but nice to see that so many agree about those items. I hope CCP can spend a little bit devtime for this maintenance work in near future.

LP contracts would be also IMO an interesting feature where you could decouple trader from LP gainers but its only loosely FW related.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

The devs said just last week they're happy with FW and have no plans on touching it in the next year. I believe that even covers the stuff they said they'd already do, but haven't completed, because :CCP: ...

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Happy with it doesn't mean we won't touch it, just that we won't touch it as much as the stuff we're less happy with. Tweaks will always be needed with every feature and we are always looking for little things to improve FW.

Any easy fix that will stop the warp core stabbed farmers.

Disable stabs within plexes. Or something.

Dunno why CCP went the way they did with FW.

Top suggestions back in the day were very simply: gimp the NPC ewar and make plexes not count down unless the NPCs were all killed.

Now a plex is even easier to farm you could say because no ewar and only 1 npc that is super weak anyway. The reduction of NPC count to 1 should have seen an equivalent increase in its power, such that a ship entering a plex might fight only 1 enemy but this enemy will have advanced AI and access to potent damage as well as webs/points etc.

What exists today is the ultimate gank habitat. You force the enemy to engage you on your terms or you bail out if they have numerical/ship type superiority. CCP really jumped the shark on this and should have stuck with the original suggestions instead of over-doing it and making things even worse.
