i would just like to congratulate ccp on there ability to use as little bandwidth as they do. i am currently on very very slow internet due to siminn having a problem with one of there transmitters in the 107 area for my 3g network and yer despite it takeing 10 mins to load a web page, and genrally being slow and laggy on everything else, i can STILL PLAY EVE_ONLINE!!!!

im not a techy and i have no idea how this is possible but frankly im amazed

so thank you ccp.

EVE doesn't use that much bw for the regular stuff, but you could land in trouble if you go fleetfight on that link, but then you'd prolly not want to anyway with the lag Lol

It's actually fairly standard on most mmo's. It is after all just strings of data bouncing back and forth, all the heavy stuff is begin done client side, the reason it takes ages for web pages to load and uses more bandwidth is because you have to load all the images and content from their server, with mmo's all you're receiving from them is instructions to load the images and content on your hard drive.
