Finding a K162, going thru to investigate, and not realising that the owners in that hole are rolling it at the time. Collapses behind you, and they have a couple of ships to welcome you there.

Good bye Buzzard, and 150Mil Pod.

Hopefully this will serve as a good lesson to people as to why faction fit BS soloing sites is a bad idea.....

Why would you say such a thing?
What he really meant to say, folks, is that you should fit more bling on your BS to make it safer to solo sites in WHs.

Fortunately, people who bling-fit their faction BS's usually aren't scouring these forums for tips on how to play better.

Good thing I already dropped a deuce this morning, otherwise I would've crapped myself at work after seeing that KM.

I remember back in the day before corp bookmarks a prior corp use to leave a cans of BMs next to the wormhole. They were BM's to our heavily bubbled, canned and armed POS but were labeled things like C2, ammo can, bm can... Some guys would actually leave the cans in connected wormholes along with real BMs to that hole include the connection. Every month or so someone would die to the POS guns. Also amusing are the people who forget that large POS guns can hit their frigate at a dead stop at 150km,,,

A Nullbear joined our corp to "try out wormholes" since he'd done everything else, felt that since he could solo 6/10s in 0.0, a mag site wouldn't be any problem, even though our CEO said don't try. When he realized he was going to lose his Proteus he logged in an alt in an attempt to throw a cheaper Loki at the sleepers as a sacrifice to get the Prot out. He lost both T3s, left to head back to 0.0 couple days later.

So, you're a bounty hunter. No, that ain't it at all. Then what are you? I'm a bounty hunter.

DANG. YOU BEAT ME HERE.

...In his defence, it was an alt who's overview wasn't set up correctely.

To balance the fail-scade of that day, I decided to engage a Proteus (When is this EVER a good idea. Roll ) on our static's side of our static, when i see "Oh Sh*t. get out, get out!" I manage to burn back to the hole (no scram on the prot, admittedly he was fit for scanning [?]) when i land on the other wide and see a gang of 15+ t3's, BC's, and a coupla guards. i landed about 1k from the hole, wasn't able to burn off and cloak in time, so i jumped back through, and this time landed a nice 4.5k on the opposite side of the hole most of the gang landed on. got alpha'd through 30% of my armor on my own Prot before jumping back into our static. o.O

Not quite as hard of a fail as the proteus landing on our pos, but still stupid of me. we almost traded proteuses (proteii?)

TL;DR Don't engage "solo" t3's. Not a good idea.

Sounds good to me bud. Please continue to fly shiny T2 BS. Since we're talking about isk per hour. We made 1 bil in about 5 minutes.

As to the fit, there was nothing wrong with it besides being overly shiny, but if you continue to fly expensive toys people will continue to take them away.

Anyways,

So My corp and I are running C3 sites in our static. A pilgrim warps in and uncloaks as he lands on a rock. We laugh and hit him a few times before he warps off. We continue the site. About 10 minutes later he tackles one of our two osprey's. We kill him as two tengus and an onyx land, and we all warp off. The pilgrim was shield fit.

Warping to a planet at 0 that turned out to be a Moon. A moon with a hostile pos. BOOM.

Ended up i was the silliest thing in system.

A personal fail.

So I've been doing industry out of a C3 static highsec and use an orca to move most of my stuff around. I am so careful with it, it's borderline pathological. Usually warping to the bookmark in something else to make sure it's bookmarked correctly* if it wasn't made by me, dscaning before and after warp is initiated, jumping back through if I'm more than 3.5k away from the hole so I don't get bumped off before I can re-enter, check warp distance to make sure the destination is within dscan range etc. several times over. My buddy 's been telling me several times that I'm ta little crazy with how careful I've being.

I wake up one morning, feeling kinda tired, informed we have an exit nice and close to jita. Jump in the orca, consider testing the waters first, but everything has been going great for months so I just Dscan and warp. Hit dscan a couple times on my way, and watch as everything of ours disappears and is replaced by a small bubble. I'm pretty sure that wasn't there before and I'm hoping that it doesn't mean what I think it means.

It did: http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=19260296 (3 T3s kill 2B in orca and cargo)

My main was elsewhere and start trying to get some help from my friend who's currently making breakfast before I land. Obviously too late. 1 T3 decloaks, 2 more enter and I know I'm toast. Only positive thing, is I manged to save the pod which had a little too much invested in implants.

Back to being paranoid.

* I'm currently sitting on a WH, watching a small group use a very incorrect WH bookmark, slowboating to the WH every time. I'm in a hound, waiting for something squishy, no luck but I'm currently too busy to be bothered at the moment. The same corp landed their Mastidon no less than 8 times in the same drag bubble we put up the other day. They ended up having more than us at the time, but we got a little fighting out of it.

not a massive fail but comical one - finishing nightly scanning of possible hole to move into, my attention slowly deteriorated (needless to say I was taking a quick glance at this very thread in between scans Smile). Result was falling asleep at wh entrance which decided to decloak my cov-ops; band of angry russians decided it was a good moment to check that exit... and that beautiful 'squish' sound woke my from napping Shocked
