The key to solo in Eve is: know to pick your targets

This. Just this. Solo PVP has always been about picking your targets. Know what sort of ships/tactics you can take, and which ones you can't. Don't get goaded into fights you know you can't win. Fight on your own terms, not on your target's.

Learn to pick your fights. But don't run. *confused look*

You guys should get together on your boolsh!te and decide what you want to say.

Hello lads and lasses,

As being new to the whole thing of FW I was wondering if any of the veterans could give some good advice, perhaps some tricks or two for FW.
All sort of advice would be helpful.
Currenty I'm already having a blast at FW, enjoying every part of it really, but I think I'm missing some neat tricks and tips necessary to become a better FW player.

PS: Caldari Hypercapitalism rocks! Twisted

Get a booster alt (loki most sucsessful) or 2 or 3 even.
assume every1 is going to either
A. warp out cuz they are stabbed
B. jump in 30 guys cuz the ship you just tackled is bait
C. cloak up watch you run down the timer
D. Cry when you wont fight your enemy 1v5 without links

Have every ship in the game in your hanger because you never know when you will need your marauder to kill a couple frigates

Número UNO: Do not get caught up and obsessed with kill board stats or isk efficiency. That drags many people down and keeps them from having fun in ships that would "ruin" their KB if they were to lose it. Just fly what you want and get blown up.

This all the way. Go out there and just try to f&ck Sh*it up. Who cares if a killboard shows you have more losses then kills. The truth is, if you solo alot your going to almost definately lose more than you win because of small gang / blob situations.

Looked up...saw this F***ING clown dropping like a rock.  Woke up in Vylade wondering what just happened!!!

Hell no, get lvl 5 skills and a few billion isk, blow it all on the most expensive and unessery ship you can and fit it with purple or green corner modules AND MOST IMPORTANTLY never undock and never EVER pvp in it - but DO link it in corp, militia, alliance, local and newb chat to boast about it.

Okay, but it is much easier just to get an alt account and train up a loki like everybody else.
Why start out at a big dissadvantage? The op is asking for tips--your tip is "run away from most fights" because they have a loki and you don't.

OGB isnt a requirement, Ive never used them for solo PVP and had lots of solo kills, not everybody uses them, once you know the pilots who do and you know their boosting alts avoid fighting them unless you want a challenge.

Main trick is like others have said, know your ship types and know the common fits for them, if range is your weakness dont engage fast kitey ships etc...
