Thanks for the PCU confirmation above.

I am pleased to announce there will be two awesome events tying in to this!

First, Marlona Sky will be running a Flight of a Thousand Rifters event, suiciding his Nyx supercarrier into anyone willing to engage him, in a TBA lowsec incursion system (so no hotdrops), with loads of prizes to be won, detail here:

http://themittani.com/features/event-flight-thousand-rifters-iii?page=0%2C0
http://failheap-challenge.com/showthread.php?11810-Flight-of-a-Thousand-Rifters-III-Vengeance

Event will only end with the Nyx's death so if you've never been on a Supercap killmail before, this is your chance!

Secondly, Mangala Solaris will be running a fantastic RvB rampage which will also be involved in the above event (as well as much other shenanigans), details tbc.

so the plan is to celebrate 10 years of eve by doing our best to lag and bring down the servers?

i'm in, and i have another suggestion for the festivities.

at 00:00 eve time, exactly at the 10 year mark. lets do a glorious coordinated attack on all cooncord ships and facilities in highsec, on all systems. lets see how big the cooncord armada really is.

lets send a message.

I like how we went from 55,000 people, then CCP released the changes to Amarr, and we lost 2,000 people by the time next week came.

Pretty sure its nothing to do with that. Much more likely to be a bot crackdown or some sporting or social event.

Am I the only one who finds this hilarious? Trying to schedule, two weeks in advance, an event in an attempt to replicate something that occurred naturally more than two years ago? Why not just admit that actual player population in EVE has dropped a little - although at the same time the number of alt accounts increased considerably, and stop trying to artificially create PCU records? Because an artificially created record is...well...artificial. It should occur naturally, or not at all.

Why so negative? If it works, great. If it doesn't.. Eh.

Just some folks tryin to have a bit of fun, is all...

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

The last record was during an AT and the dev hosts were prompting everyone to log in specifically to break the record, so that ***** all over your "eve is dying" theory.

Sorry about your drone nerf, barbie fetish, goons are bad, or whatever the exact hisec forum warrior crybaby issue prompts you to post like a bleating moron.

How about you naturally take your 'the glass is half empty' attitude and gtfo of this thread? I know that sounds rude, but, well... you deserve it. Smile

Well, more than 2k Accs were temp-banned, so accounting for that the PCU has risen a very little bit.

Will definitely partake in attempting to break the PCU record, but as I am suffering from an acute case of bitterveteritis, more than shipspinning and trolling in chats will probably not occur for me. Sad

51,311, likely impacted by the 2000+ bans of people using WTZ.

The 7d average player count is currently higher than it has ever previously been which rather kills any "eve is declining" claims.

IF we dont beat the PCU record for 5 May, we almost certainly will do in the couple of weekends following the next expansion release, based on usual expansion trends.
