Assuming all skills are equal, which interceptor with a bonus to warp scram and disrupt do you all think is the best?

I'm just curious what people's general opinion are on this class of ship.

If I had to pick one the Malediction for general use. That thing is awesome

For tackling (which is the ship's main role) I would go for the Ares, due to the facts that it's tied for the longest locking range and has the highest scan res and base speed (and 4 lows for additional speed/agility mods). Second up would be the Stiletto due to its fourth mid for an extra tackle module (likely to fit a Scram AND Point).

Ares has more low slots and can fit easily a sig amp to really shine if you have interceptors V etc (otherwise o/h point range is lower than the locking range = huge waste). Wasting a mid-slot for a SeBo it's an eye-shore (or an eye-candy, when you kill em - YARR). That's the actual advantage it has over the Malediction.

The raptor has the locking range advantage, but overall the Ares is tankier and faster (with just a DC II and 2x tackling mods).

The Stiletto has the 3 low limitation the malediction has, but brings in the 4th slot for either more tackle, ewar mods (TDs) or MSE etc...since sig tanking is important tho, I tend to think that if you are flying an MSE tackler for the tank, go with the Dram.

All can be effective - I would crown Ares + Stiletto is the best

The Raptor is actually tied for base locking range with the Ares and Stiletto:
Stiletto: 25km
Ares: 25km
Raptor: 25km
Malediction: 22.5km

Stileto. 4 mids = Long Poing + Sensor Booster + MWD + Med Shield Extender, so you live long enough for the fleet to get there.

[Stiletto, Fleet Tackle]
Micro Auxiliary Power Core I
Signal Amplifier II
Damage Control II

Medium Shield Extender II
Warp Disruptor II
Sensor Booster II, Scan Resolution
Catalyzed Cold-Gas I Arcjet Thrusters

150mm Light AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet Phased Plasma S
150mm Light AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet Phased Plasma S
[empty high slot]

Small Targeting System Subcontroller I
Small Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I

Get your scan rez to 2500-3000 (anything higher is a waste). MWD orbit at 24km, hold your target, run away if you can't. Your disruptor reached to 36km overheated, theirs probably does not. Guns are for drones only, you are fleet tackle you are not for DPS.

3 of 4 tackling intys have generally the same capabilities as a tacklers (xept Craptor).

Stiletto is the most commonly used coz of 4 med slots. MSE buffer or extra tackling/e-war module is very, very helpful.

Ares is a bit faster and has same buffer (with DCU II), but structure doesn't regenerate in warp Cry So it better suits "profy" pilots who are able to stay untouched in fight. There few such pilots btw.

Malediction lockrange is a bit short, but in return it has lowest sig among tackling intys and it is a bit more sturdy than Ares (again, whith DCU II in fit).
Also it looks f**king sexy.

And Craptor is a piece of **** Big smile
