Please note: this is a first draft of this service, any suggestions welcome.

Tears and ISK, the best parts of PVP.

What you get:

A dedicated service designed to extract these two very things.

By using my service you guarantee a clear, well written terms of conditions that will end in either combat or a ransom payment. By using a third party to extract ransom you can maximize ransom profits by keeping emotions off the table.

Everything is strictly business.

How it works:

  1. You work with me to create a reasonable ransom criteria. Generally this involves a base price as well as a smaller price per member for the targeted corporation. For example: 250 million base ransom + 10 million per corp member.

  2. At this point we will also negotiate a deposit for my services, generally this will be 25% of the ransom amount, however we can negotiate. I will happily engage with a trusted third party to hold this deposit.

  3. I will present your terms to the CEO and Founder of the targeted corporation. Generally the target is given 72 hours to pay the ransom.

  4. If ransom is not paid by 24 hours, I will reveal your corporations identity to allow the targeted corporation to evaluate it's options. Ransom increases at this point to a predetermined rate.

  5. If ransom is paid you will be provided 100% of the predetermined price above, as well as 100% of your deposit. The deposit will be returned after an additional 72 hours to ensure your own compliance with the cease fire.

  6. If a ransom cannot be extracted and hostilities occur, logs of my work will be provided, 95% of deposit will be returned.

Limitations:

  1. You require an active killboard. I will not work for idle threats.

  2. If you engage in hostilities prior to the 72 hour waiting period, I will retain your deposit, unless negotiated.

  3. If ransom is successful and you continue with hostilities your deposit is forfeit with 50% going to the target. Killmail and logs will be required. My service is moot if you just attack anyways.

My Values:

  • Respect - I will never engage in disrespectful or aggressive behavior.
  • Transparency - I respect my service is new and will happily go through third parties
  • Clarity - I will do my best to ensure all parties are aware of the current situation, so if a ransom is paid hostilities will cease.

My favorite part is how you think this is a valuable service, and that's assuming this isn't a terribad scam for downies.

Can you give me 1 good reason why your service is better than me doing it on my own?

Why would somebody such as myself decide to pay somebody to get others to pay me?

Why would someone pay 25% of the ransom to a random guy. That's just way too high lol.

Frankly, I believe I can do it better than you, and you can focus on other things. Additionally, I feel in time should this service develop an effective reputation extracting ransoms would be relatively easy.

However, I agree about the pricing, how about clients receive 100% of the agreed predetermined ransom that I extract. In time I could perhaps build a margin for this service, but you are correct, perhaps a loss leader is necessary to start.

As for the deposit that would be held by a reliable agreed upon third party until my services are completed, or a breach of contract occurs. The only reason the deposit is required is to ensure your compliance with a cease fire after ransom is provided.

I will edit the initial post to reflect the 100% ransom payout, as this is an initial service offering.

Cool...

i will send 3 corp names i am planning on going after in the next 2 weeks. Lets use that as a test, I will leave you to your own devices and from there whatever ransom are paid we can talk about a fee from than amount.

i sit on about a 60% success ratio with ransoms on my own. Sometimes it takes a corp to loose more than a Bil to finally pay, but I always like to support new endeavors and am always naive enough to give people the benefit of the doubt.

If you are serious simply provide the corp names, ransom amounts and I'll begin work.

i stopped reading after this part.
you comparing yourself to Kane, in a superior manner, just threw every ion of credibility [that was non existant in the first place] out the window.

Leave C&P at once.

Pretty much this. I have the distinct impression that this guy has never ransomed another player, and is completely out of touch with the seedier parts of this game.

I disagree. I suspect he ransomed a retriever, got paid, and said "HEY THIS WAS EASY. HOW MUCH HARDER CAN AN ALLIANCE/CORPORATION BE?"

Playing devil's advocate here...what if this guy is able to make good on this service, and now has Cannibal Kane's endorsement? That's better than having Tom Cruise as the poster boy for Scientology.
