Solo Eve is dying

Is solo gaming being killed in Eve? Every new feature patch seems to favour blob play or some kind of multiple account play. Is this the way CCP sees the state of eve?

Not that I necessarily disagree but, why do you care? You never undock. You sit in a station all day running scams.

Welcome back.

And indeed I play solo only on test server. Maybe exploration patch will change that but right now solo activities are either un-productive or boring (or both).

I always play solo but ther should be much more, we all know Eve is blob city. Sure you can take on a blob, but eventually, you WILL die to it, as they keep warping to get new blob ships.

Look at bounty hunting in empire, it is just another blob baiting mechanic. Yes es I know, null, w, blah blah but we cannot deny CCP favours Blobs and Multiboxing.

Any game that allows you to bring as many friends along for the ride will invariably devolve into people bringing 1000 of their closest friends any time something needs to happen.

Yes, I am not saying prevent that, nor am I saying make it a solo only game but it seems to be unbalanced in favour of blobs or multiboxing. Not wanting to turn it into an anti-multiboxing thread but I think CCP are encouraging it too far, so far that it makes solo play, not fun many times.

I fly around solo but know eventually I will get hit by blobs, sure pick my fights but look at bounty hunting in empire, it is dead because it is used by blobs as another bait mechanic, I dont think that is what it should be.

Solo EvE is dying? If you're talking about PvP, i'd say it died a while back. Very few chances for solo PvP these days.

Solo EvE PvE though, very much alive. Just listen to how many people whine about highsec on these forums. Cool

Solo Eve is well and alive. It's called X3: Terran Conflict and it doesn't even have a monthly subscription fee.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.
