To the original Amarr ship designer ...

From a sci-fi fan, I just wanted to say how fun it was finding the Alien head on a lot of the Amarr ships (mostly the older ones) built subtly but definitely present in the designs. For instance, check out the Punisher from a few different angles, and then the Magnate. Those are a few - you will have to find the others to see what I mean.

Either way, I wonder if that guy (or gal) is still working at Eve? I hope so!

lol no special substances here but there's no doubt ... whoever designed the initial Amarr launch for ship design (whether it was one person or a team) was definitely a fan of the Aliens franchise. You just can't miss it - view the frigs if you don't believe me. Cool

Yes, a lot of them do and that's a nice pic Big smile

T' Elk - You'll need to try harder on your trolling technique. Thought I have thought in the past something similar with regards to what the original Caldari ship designer was on and/or smoking...

Heh, :) if there is one 'Alien' inspired ship then it is the Gallente Incursus.

Yeah I love that about the Amarr ships. The Armageddon is the most Gigeresque of the bunch.

Do not bash my trolling techniques until you have tried 'em, kiddo. I actually wasn't trolling, weed is now boring.

If ship skins ever get introduced, and we get a decal resembling something like a mouth with fangs, i'm so putting one on the geddon.

I always had the impression Amarr was inspired in ancient roman stuff, like gladiator shields, helmets and all that.

Would be awesome to get an answer from the brass on who actually skinned the Amarr ships, or others for that matter - and if they're still working for the team or have moved on.

I thought I'd take this opportunity to mention the bearded man on the Tengu's fuel catalyst. It fascinates me to no end.
