I've returned to eve after a couple of years and my main character has disappeared.
I still have my other two characters.

Has this happened before?


Edit: Wasn't quite certain what forum to place this in...

There is no forum to put this in. There is a petition system for a reason. Use it.

I searched the forums looking for any kind of similiar issues but found none.

Try searching the character bazaar for your main (both current and old forums).
It will give you an idea how and when that character may have disappeared or rather moved.

Try also looking for your character in game, see what corp he's in, etc.

I call sibling termination of character as act of vengeance. It's more common than one would think. The more you know...

I had not considered either possibilities.

I did not share my account or even make any enemies. I was literally an anonymous miner.

That may be an unfortunate cause to my situation.

Edit: I have no gamer siblings, but that would not surprised me in other situations.

In short NO ONE here can help you, why?

Players know nothing about it,

GMs have stated repeatedly that they do NOT handle in game matters on the forums.

So you're left with TWO options,

1) Fire a petition and wait (and heck keep filing them, someone competent might see it)
2) Accept the loss and move on.

like they said, just file the petition and wait for them to figure it out.

either you are logging in on the wrong account
or
you somehow got keylogged or hacked and someone sold your toon
or
your character was biomassed by CCP (punitive action) or someone with access to your account (see 2nd point)

you can play sherlock holmes while you wait if you wish, its probably more interesting than mining and a lot safer

or just start over, you may be able to level a new toon up to where you were by the time CCP replies.



and just a note to the "file a petition" guys
lately it actually seems that when someone posts to the forums about a petition, it suddenly gets processed

GM Guard > I must ask you not to use the petition option like this again but i personally would finish the chicken sandwich first so it won´t go to waste. The spaghetti will keep and you can use it the next time you get hungry. Best regards.

Thanks for all the advice, I have done some research and found nothing, guess I have to wait for the petition , so at least, I can found out what happened.

Thank you, i shouldn't be too surprised, happens fairly often or used to when i left eve.
Are you the same T'amber from 2-3 years ago? if so, its nice to see people are still sticking around.
