Bitcoin for Plex?

I am not sure if CCP should use bitcoins. But it seems to just be another currency. Sure it seems strange that just anyone (and not a "federal reserve" banking cartel) can print/make it. But there are limits to the number of coins that can be in circulation. There are known rates for creation of coins. Sure this rate can change as better mining platforms are created, but it is known.

But just like any currency, it only has a perceived value. But with no governmental control with an implied backing and the fact it is relatively new, prices can definitely be at the whim of speculators. I am not a anarchist, but anything that puts a little fear into the hearts of the banking system and their governments has to be a good thing :)


As for capital gains and sales taxes? Oh no I made a capital gain, oh what will I do, with all this money I made??? Would not any currency with a conversion rate and variable price is subject to same issues unless defined differently by law. Is this not one reason US companies are leaving billions in other countries to avoid/shelter taxes.

There are legitimate companies who are selling goods and services using bitcoins. They are few, but organic growth takes time.

While the concept of bitcoins is quite interesting, I don't think it's really ready yet for 'mainstream' use as a real currency.

As such, I think CCP should stick with regular currency. Also, the fact that the bitcoin exchange rates tend to vary wildly, makes it a very risky proposition to have people pay for anything in them.

Today, with the exchange rate of a coin from say Euro's compared to the euro price of a plex would say, 1 bitcoin = 1 plex, but tomorrow it could be 10 coins = 1 plex... this is just too much of a risk for a company like CCP.

Does railgun ammunition come in Hollow Point?

now, about those bitcoins. It's really not a currency anymore with all the volatility and speculative trading going on. It is a money launderers wet dream though.
