Best wishes in the new job, and thanks for keeping CCP's collective @#$% together.

Looking forward fighting you in space in your new role at CCP Cool

Eve online is :

A) mining simulator B) glorified chatroom C) spreadsheets online

Who cares about promotions, it's all about doing amazing things with great people and pushing the boundaries. Big smile We will still do that with EVE, we are doing it with DUST 514 and all of our projects will break new ground.

Admit it; you're just more of a coder than a manager.

Promotions means nothing.

I understand that there is a really high level of confidentiality associated with Resumes and selecting somebody for any job; however will the CSM have a change to give feedback at any level of the selection process?

Well, publicly available corporate reviews are quite telling on some of what we notice as final customers. At least now i can understand why you can't just promote someone to be EP and rather need to hire him/her from outside of the company. Smile

It's not that CCP lacks talent, but that talent never gets promoted because there are no positions to promote it.

I got a better idea Idea lets make the filling of the Executive Producer position just like CSM8, first we'll have a pre-election process with 200 likes err 'endorsements' and then we'll have a STV vote of the top 14 candidates & Hilmar can choose amongst them Lol

This is fantastic news.

I've been waiting for CCP to tell us how they are going to bring New Eden to mobile gaming, and I can't think of anyone I'd rather see overseeing this than Unifex.

I guess this is why last year Hilmar was telling a Chinese medium that 2013 would be seeing more focus on avatars. Blink

It's shelved until further notice, there are multiple blue posts confirming this

The wod team in Atlanta is working on avatar technology, very likely with eve in mind, but that does not mean anything for the games foreseeable future

Thank you, I really appreciate that. I am actually a bit surprised how much positive support this has gotten from my own alliance, which usually universally hates anything I have to say...
