Loyalty Points

Hello!

Well a couple days ago I "discovered" the LP store, after playing a month or so without knowing about it.. I had 3-4 stations with about a total of 75k loyalty points, and bought some cheap[er] implants for myself, and a couple in case I get podded..

But I am wondering what is the best thing to buy to make the most $/LP

The best thing I came across so far is the skill book "Distribution connections." It can be bought for 10m ISK and 15k LP, and, after taking out the 10 mil price, it comes to about 1333.33isk/LP.

I am wondering if there is anything really better then that? or is there anything else that I could better spend LP on?

Thanks!

you have to compare the market (where you're selling the item) to the ISK + LP cost. Assuming your comment about "after taking the 10m price" means "deducting 10m from the market price", then that's pretty good (this means the book is ~30m on the market).

Can't really tell you better than that, because:
a. if I (or anyone) says "get this item", everyone will
b. I don't mission or use LP for added ISK generation.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Ha, I think that definitely qualifies as a "Where's the Win button" question.

No one will want to tell you what the best items are for obvious reasons, but you seem competent enough to see that it comes down to profit v sales volume.

Actually +3's are a simple 'good' option that returns about 5-6m profit and sell very fast - without turning you into a station trader!

I ran up a LP spreadsheet a while back for Gallente LP stores (no, it's not public). In general...

Ammo has steady demand, is good but not exceptional (1000-1500 ISK/LP)
Attribute implants are low (~900 ISK/LP)
The [racial weapon] specialisation skill books are low (700-900 ISK/LP)
Some of the skill hardwirings are good but tend to sell slower. Depends what you get. You need to check the market for any you're considering
The faction items can be good but can also be terrible and/or not sell. Do the research on these before you buy

sounds like you are doing fine OP, a few things to consider:

* the "best" items in terms of isk/lp change as people chase the flavour of the month

* be wary of items that are sold in the FW LP store as these get cashed out on a regular basis and you could get stuffed

* ellatha has an LP database (out of game site) that you can look up items on

* if you really want to min-max LPs look at some of the lesser known LP stores like Thukker

* page 2 of the eve technology sub-forum has a post where there is a project going to work out conversion ratios for all LP items so you might want to have a look at that

ok thankyou for all the very informative posts!

I have one more question or 2 :)

Are loyalty points per station or per corporation basis?

If it is per corporation, are different things available in the LP store at different locations?

thanks for the help!

LP are per corp and you can use them in every station of that corp with LP store.

General agreement is that 1000 ISk per LP is average with anything below being not so good. On the other end, 2000 ISK per LP is quite exceptional but rare.
Of course there are a lot of other factors weighting in, so it probably comes down to the time and effort you want to invest.

One caveat with the price data on that site:
If it seems to be a lot higher than all the others, it's probably due to market manipulation, and you won't get that much.

As with all market activities, make sure the market can absorb what you're about to dump onto it.
