I haven't seen one of these threads in a long time. Glad to know that after all these years, the MD thread topic list is still about the same though Big smile

The front page of MD never really changes.

You've got:

"what happened to XXX?"
"buy waffles!! logic included!"
"let's have a circle jerk!" (aka "who are the MD elite?")

Don't really see that one as often as we used to. When I started two years ago it was pretty much a weekly occurence but now it is pretty rare.

One that crops up more often now is 'Move investments to their own sub-forum'.

It seems to me that most folks that end up sticking around MD follow the general pattern of the 5 stages of grief with regards to their current perspective on the health of the forum:

Denial --> Anger --> Bargaining --> Depression --> and finally --> Acceptance.

The graph is so familiar to me that I assumed it was labelled. It was only when I saw your comment that I went back and checked and found it was blank. That is a bit disturbing.
