Intergalactic Summit

I wish this were a happier time.

In troubled times, we must, as difficult as it can be, remember our Path, our collective path as a people, as a Tribe. The time for conjecture and action-possibly violent action- will come. For now, far more important, is the healing of those who have been injured, and of those who have lost loved ones.

An old Sebiestor myth states that upon death, the Spirit will be confused for a while; getting ripped away from life is, after all, a pretty confusing experience. The Spirits of the critically wounded may also be confused, and may be trying to find their way home. It is at this time that their spirits can use a bit of help from us.

Any who wish to do so may visit Skadi's Hall, the meeting hall of my Clan on Mikramurka, Matar, at any time of the day or night, to meet with others, to pray quietly, to light a flame to guide the spirits of their loved ones on their way, whether that way is back to us, or onward, to the next stage of their journey.

I have voiced my political opinions on the shooting in Caille elsewhere. Please, do not repeat them here. This thread was simply to allow people to know that I have made the Hall open for such purpose. People may pray and rest quietly, alone, if they wish. People may find others in a similar horrible situation at the moment, and together, strengthen one another. This is not a factional announcement, and the Hall is quite open to all, save those who are actively hostile toward my people at the moment - in the interests of security, of course. There is no religious denomination which holds sway in this place, for now.

In short - if you want a place to find some peace, and maybe some company, my Clan's home is open to all.

Being so often the targets of terrorism ourselves, we understand all to well the horror such actions bring. It is only natural that we empathize with anyone who has become a victim of such tragedy.

Our prayers & condolences go out the innocent everywhere.

I also join Sepherim in wishing the Matari solace during this dark time for them. One can only hope that Midular makes the best recovery she can.

And I pray that the Gunman meets death for all the lives lost, he deserves nothing more.
