Ok I just tested this. i can shoot one alt and get a kill right make available to all then have another alt go and destroy a nub ship with the first character in it and the kill right is spent.

This is broken and causes no real loss to criminal.

Please Look into fixing this,

I agree with this. It is a horrible system. One of my miners got ganked in high sec, they all died to concord and my skiff lived. I had kill rights on them and made available to all. They can all accept kill rights on each other and kill their rookie ships.

The only saving grace to this system is you can put a price on the acceptance of the kill rights. If you charge like 5m then if they really want to get rid of the kill right on them they have to pay the 5m fine. But you wouldn't want to set the price too high otherwise no one will want to buy the kill right from you and kill them.

My corp is a crimewatch corp, and we live off kill rights. You'd be surprised how many freighter pilots carrying 35 billion cargo have killrights on them of "only" 500m or such.

Just set the kill right price at the level of your loss. They may not necessarily lose their ships by paying their own kill rights, but if they fly anything more expensive than what you lost, crime watch corps like mine will get them on gates near any trade hub. And then you'll be compensated anyway =)

If Chribba told you not to trust him, would you?

I completely disagree, if someone ganks you and you make their kill right available for say 30 million...I guarantee you if I ever saw that guy in a ship more than 30 mil id engage. Even if you set it at 5-10 mill. If you lost a ship, you get the insurance money from that loss PLUS the payment on his head. If you fly T2 the insurance will get you in cost effectiveness, but if you fly a retriever and they gank you, you will get about 20ish mill I think in insurance. Add the money from someone killing the guy and you can buy another ship.

Aside from that, you have control over when to activate the right and when not to. Which means you can still have friends help you carry out vengence if you wanted to. If they want to get rid of their KR for 10 mill let em.

Octoven I DONT think you understand what we are saying... or are you just disagreeing to disagree like a troll dueche?

The IDEA is if I MYSLELF gank some one and he puts my killright up for say 5 mil I MYSLEF on an ALT can take the 5mil give it to the guy that I just blew up and kill myself in a NUBSHIP and IF the dude is smart enough IF again he puts this price on the killright THEN he gets money... I have had 4 killrights on me... 4 DIFFERENT people and NONE of them charged for the killright when they made it public. so they got 0 isk to let me nubship kill myself.

So the moral of this story is don't be dumb. (put a price on your killrights)

basically yes. but not everyone does or will. some way make it a 'base' killright fee of 10mil? or something i guess? make it a little more nub friendly you know? I am just thinking of any way a system can be manipulated. like Goons use of faction warfare to make trillions. not really cool you know? lol

No, the game does not need to stop people from doing stupid things. People should learn from their mistakes (or the mistakes of others) not have the game prevent them from goofing up.

EDIT: also the goons making trillions was because of a math error that CCP overlooked. Not in any way shape or form related to noobs not understanding game mechanics and how other people are going to react to them.

Just make your killrights only available to a corporation/alliance only (like marmite :) ), also, the higher the activate killright cost, the less likely anyone will shoot it.

All in all there are a few things you can do to avoid people cleaining their own killrights off, not to mention bounties on their corporation/alliance and hiring mercs to dec them (or even infiltrate and find out their other characters for theft and awoxing)

Just have to think.
