I've been playing for 3 years and no one has ever mentioned this thing in anything. No lore, no threads asking what i'm asking-

What did it used to look like?

There is a metric shitload of them around and there doesn't seem to be any left intact, and none for us capsuleers.

Theories?

That's a Templar, an Amarr fighter used by carriers.

You kind of have to wonder how tall the people who used it were. I have a screenshot of my Hurricane parked next to it somewhere, and it's ******* gigantic - yet it only appears to have the one deck.

Perhaps it is a shuttle from the times of our ancestors. From the age of the eve gate?
But surely they would have been stripped for salvage by now.

Well, interior decks would be stripped out of the hull, sicne valuable electronics and minerals are used in conduits placed between walls and decks, so it woudl make sense to look like it just has 1 or 2 large decks, sicnce everything else ahs been gutted.

hulls generally are base/common/cheap metal not worth the space it woudl take to transport, no to mention the bulk size of a hull, so they are left floating.

... in a space shuttle? Shocked

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

Doesn't change the fact that it's a "space shuttle" bigger than a Hurricane. It actually appears to have a cockpit at one end (if it is a cockpit, it makes the shuttle a ~5 man ship - big people...)

Edit: vertical walls are present, and they're designed as if for a single deck (they're in the same place all the way down)

I collect the metal scraps from mission wrecks and the reprocess them all when I reach over a hundred.

Too bad you can't salvage the shuttle wrecks as a random event, and then receive a couple hundred metal scraps for the trouble.

Then you could reprocess them back into low quantities of Mexallon or Tritanium.

Whatever they were (or how tall) is up for debate. The only thing that we now know as fact is that they are dead, most probably because they wrecked thousands and thousands of their 'Space Shuttle' space craft. So I think It can safely be assumed that they were really bad at flying in space....Blink

Im wondering how the navigation systems of these "shuttles" really were. It appears that every "shuttle" that ever existed has horribly crashed sideways on an asteroid.

In the infinite vastness of space, with practically any direction in which to fly..it seems that all the "shuttle" pilots decided that the flight path that lead directly into an asteroid was the most practical.

Perhaps there were alot more asteroids back then, or more likely, a complete lack of shuttle pilot certification.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I dare you to come to America and drive on our capitol beltway, then make that statement again.
We arent bad drivers, we're actually very good.
I mean look how few crashes we have despite driving worse than the Russians!

Now excuse me as I go Minmatar on my car.
