Wait a sec... There is no Faction Cyclone, Prophecy, Ferox and (now) Myrmidon... Since there is a much needed Drones Revamp on the horizon and that the Myrm is the most iconic drone battlecruiser... Could it be that CCP is thinking long-term?

A slight exaggeration admittedly. More like 80 - 90k EHP. -.-

Just add one more tank module in exchange for something else.

If I wanted to fit MWD + Scram + Web + TP on my Torp Raven it wouldn't have 100k ehp either.

Being the most of something, implies that it has some noteworthy competition in the category. But no. To answer your question, releasing a faction drone battlecruiser didnt really make much sense, when there was so much more they could do with a faction brutix. I believe CCP even outlined that in one of the threads linked.

We really dont need these ships. Everyones automatically all "ooo shiny" though.

After the patch we're giving the market some gentle supply restriction, like tying one wrist to the bedpost loosely with soft silk rope. Just enough to make things a bit more exciting for the market, not enough to make a safeword necessary.  -Fozzie

Gank squads and nullsec alliances will become thick with these Navy Drakes, Gallente ships will go back to being peeled like bananas in 2 seconds outside of blaster range - so you'll see pimped Megas getting instablapped with backup Scorp jammalama on logi (as if that mattered).

I think the Navy Drake is a good idea. In addition to being the "OMG I go to nullsec and 50 Navy Drakes show up" ship, it will also be the best lvl4 mission ship for everybody, even the null guys who have to JC in to make ISK (and rebuild their fleets because of Navy Drake) will be using Navy Drakes.

It's going to be Navy Drakes Online. P

For a further prediction, what will happen now is that, since the forums are the "High High Slot" of the game, people will do the math and see if they can have the skills to max a Navy Drake by June. If they cannot, they will use the Forum Module to counter the Navy Drake, posting endless tears and complaints until CCP changes course on it. Those with more favorable numbers who want to run Navy HAM Drake gank camps outside of SB range (small gangs of 4 to 6 Navy Drake and one tackler) will claim that there's nothing to see here please move along.


Oh yes, this is going to be interesting.
