This is a joke right. First, nobody owns low sec, so paying a supposed landlord is well - a bad idea. So I accept your payment, and then u get poned by passerby's. Just find a slow system, stay aligned, warp at the 1st sign of trouble ( whenever something pops into local).Better yet - don't mine in low sec - cuz eventually ur Gunna die. Then again maybe the reward is worth the risk, but I really doubt it.

Low sec is nothing like 0.0. There is no dominant corps (except maybe rancer). Nobody owns systems, they just live there. I have never not been to a system (again, except maybe rancer) just because someone else lived there. I roam around looking for kills and if I saw a miner in a belt id be all over it.

I am one of many of the low sec inhabitants with the same philosophy.

So, my advice to you is. Find a dead group of systems/system. (i recommend somewhere in amarr low sec, as its least populated. Not faction war space.) and simply just mine there without paying anybody. If you find a system that's out the way of the main pipes, you should be able to mine in relative peace. Just don't tell anyone you are there or what you are doing.

Another thing to point out, some systems do not have stations. These will probably be your best bet, as long as you have some way to haul the ore. I know a system near me, that is basically abandoned 99.99% of the time because its not fw space, it out of the main pipe, and it doesn't have a station. There is no reason for anybody to go there other than refuel their POS's

Two combat ships (I'd use HACs) and ten mining barges. Never mine in the first belt, the last belt, or any belts at the same planets as those ones.

If you see three or more neutrals in local, GTFO. If you see a cyno lit in local, GTFO. Do not finish mining cycles, just GTFO.

If you need a diversion, have a throwaway frigate light a cyno.

^^this^^ Also fit 2 webs on every barge. Align to a station and every one double web everyone. You will be ready to insta warp at a crawl that allows a barge to do its thing.

Why do you want to mine in lowsec anyways? Lowsec has pretty much the exact same ores as highsec with the exception of Jaspet. Are you really going to lowsec just to mine Jaspet? That amount of risk for the exact same rewards you can get in highsec just seems unnecessary.

Regardless, you don't pay anyone or ask permission from anyone to mine in lowsec. Doing so announces your location and intentions.

If you absolutely must mine in lowsec (God knows why since it's not profitable over highsec), either sacrifice a highslot on your mining barge for the use of a cloak or have everyone running around in Venture mining frigates. Those little bastards are hard to catch and have an ore hold of 5k. They can efficiently mine gas too.

I once looked into low sec mining awhile back. Unless you have to have it for manufacturing and not simply right click selling, or even hauling it back to Jita and throwing it on the market, Low-Sec ore isn't worth it. If anything bring in a Venture and ninja gas harvest.

If you're set on mining ore in Low-sec my honest opinion is ninja mining with a venture. It would be great to find a suitable Low-sec system right next to a high-sec system using the HS system as your base of operations and transport the ore back and forth; either by setting up a safespot and jet-can the ore there and use a fast indy during off hours with a scout and haul the ore, or transport the ore each cargo load (not really the best way, but it is a Venture). Granted you will be moving back and forth often and that will kill time. If you could locate a deadspace/exploration belt, that would be better. You could also set up insta undocks/redocks at a station in the low-sec system if you wanted to keep it there for whatever reason.

Gate camp isn't going to get you in a venture most of the time unless it's a disco gate came, then you're dead. If there's a gate camp when you bring in the indy, unless you're using a fast Blockade runner, you're probably dead. Of course that's where the scout comes in.

Don't pay anyone. Odds are that will be a waste of ISK. Say you purchase this mining right from a Corp that resides in system Y, you're going to mine in system Y, why wouldn't you? So now they know at some point in time you and your corp/friends will be mining in that system, or at the very least close to it. Aside from that, locator agents once the Corp in question knows the names of you and your corpmates.

Hope this helps.

EDIT: Paying someone might be worth while, but really if you're going to do that, you might as well head to null and rent some space.

Wow the fact that this is coming out of the mouth of a code alliance New Order member is funny and shocking. Lol who would of thought this would ever happen in the eve universe.

hey we secure a small lowsec chain in the domain region mail me and we will work out an arrangement. thing is it will cost you. (nothing in life is free) if you dont want to pay i would not recommend going anywhere near a lowsec chain with ni in it. we will hunt you down and make you go pop.

You can own lowsec to about the same extent as you can own NPC 0.0. There is no game mechanic that recognizes ownership, but if you cared to you could establish defacto ownership of system(s). And don't kid yourself, any worthwhile NPC 0.0 system is 'owned' by some player entity. Sure you can ninja in, and even use the station, but if your not blue to the owner, your either gonna die a lot, or waste a lot of time avoiding dieing. Afaik there are still lowsec entities that 'own' pockets to the extent that they are the only ones able to make money in them with relative safety.

Still probably isn't worth the risk/hassle.

Hi i want me and a couple corp buddies to come down to low sec and mine.I understand that lowsec is the wild west and would like some guidance on who owns or dominates which parts of low sec as close to amar as possible.
I would be obviously willing to pay for mining rights as i know that i can't just stroll in and start claiming the ore.

I want to pay the folk or faction who have about %90 of control in the area ,as i would like to mine in relative safety, i know that safety is not assured anywhere in eve but i figure if i pay the dominating force it will make my life much easier. Am i barking up the wrong tree and should stick to veld in high sec? BTW I'm no idiot so don't post asking for money i will reply to folk in game and we can come to some sort of arrangement.

You can pay any low sec corp whatever they ask and be safe from (that corp) but you wont be safe from other pirates in the area and the corp you paid wont guard you.

If i where you i would just try and get into a null sec alliance and mine there.

But last time i chiecked (which was some time ago) the high sec ore was still not that much below the (ABC) ore so its not really worth you leaving high sec.

The Royal gate-camp is good for this.

We don't even tax our miners, we use them as bait. We also have a carebear rehab program that sees indy players ganking folks on gates with battlebarges. The Phantom Regiment also has several mineral-hungry manufacturing players who will buy whatever you mine, and compete among themselves to offer you a good price. I personally ignore the alliance buyback program.

Join the channel "regiment" or just chat up Count Scary or spankerofankle if you're interested. MOAR INDY PLAYERS is just what we need.

If you want to mine safely just join a sov holding alliance in null sec and mine hidden belts. Be aligned to pos. If a red or neutral comes by just warp out and wait. Most of null is very empty.

Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.
