Would anyone let a lowly Drake follow them on Level 4 missions just to salvage?

Travel to a mission hub and ask for bookmarks in local, that should hook you up with missionners. Virtually no one will take you with them and risk a gank, but handing out bookmarks is risk free for them.

Buy a Cormorant for salgaving and save your Drake for missions.

It's less than 1 mil instead of around 50 mil for the Drake so if you make a noob mistake the loss isn't as bad. Also unlike the Drake it can fit 4 tractor beams plus 4 salvagers.

As for missions to salvage join a mission running corp.

Awesome thanks I will do that.
So you go do the mission then go back to base grab the other ship and come back to salvage?
Seems like that would take a long time ....

Well if you're doing it solo yes just change ships then go back to salvage.. It's a lot faster than refitting a ship to salvage.

If you're in a fleet one person will salvage the other two to three kill stuff. Normally the salvager stays in the previous room and waits for the next room of the mission to be cleared.

sell the drake, you are better off using dessie until a noctis

try the "free wrecks" channel, usually missioners need wrecks killed

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the Noctis. Might be a bit out of your price range right now but if you're serious about salvaging you should def get one ASAP. Train up Ore Industrial skill a couple of levels and you will loot/salvage 10x faster than any other ship.

ninja salvage (scan for expensive mission ship and ten fly to them) often turns into willing salvage because missione just leves wrecks for you.

Also, if you want to troll, you can steal mission items, hope they shoot at you, come back and own their ships and get some shiny loot :)
