I have been waiting for Wis since i first started playing... and i'm still waiting for it. I really do hope CCP gets the time and tools to finnish it soon.

My personal opinion is that many of the latest patches have been great.. lots of good stuff. UI is better, graphics better, etc... BUT, what i dont like is the clear "dumbing down" of EVE.. no race is special in any way soon either. There is also the "fix bugs before new shinies"-aspect.
It is very understandable from a business point of view to make a game easier so even the tards can play and pay, but on the other hand the thing that have kept the same players here for 10years is disapearing (imo).

A second wish i have: Can you retards who use WE instead of I in an arguement please GTFO? Just because yourself and 3 other you know of have a opinion, does not automaticly grant you the right to use the phrase: most of EVE.

Also worth noting, CCP is celebrating 10 years of EVE this year.... 10 YEARS of EVE!! Do any of you realize what an accomplishment this actually is?
EVE is changing, i gotta deal with it and you gotta deal with it. Ultimately i have faith in CCP and their vision, based on the history of EVE and the durability displayed.

since we are having a moan about changes ive got a good one.

Once upon a time there was no such thing as tracking, any gun would hit anything perfectly well. and yes we are talking about BS guns slapping the crap out of frigs orbitting at 500m.

So i train for the tempest, im extremly excited i couldnt wait to start blapping stuff with my arties. The day i finished medium proj 4 ready to train large proj 1 it was patch day -> CCP were introducing tracking that very day.

My dream weapon system that took me a good while to train for (i had previously been using a raven) went from one of the best BS to gank with (along with the infamous gankgeddon) went from hero weapon to litterally the worst tracking weapon in game at the time (before capital XL guns etc).

I was not happy and pulled the dust cover off my raven which i had put on, only the day before, waah waah waah :"(

anywho, suck it up, balance is generally a good thing, your training plan be damned in the big picture.

Use a tempest or mael instead and like it. John Rourke did ok.

Let's not forget our precious missile nerf years back ... man that was fun going from raven warmachine to raven playdoh ... Blink

What player in their right mind, wants to fly a Phoon. It's a trash can and it belongs in one.

I heard that, before the nano nerf (which I wasn't around for), it was quite the speed freak. Eh, I'd call it a soda can with guns on it, but that would make it sound more bad-ass than it probably is I supose.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

Whatever CCP does it should not involve listening to the OP in any way, shape or form.

well if they let the players decide how to balance ships i m sure we end up in a minmatar battlecruiser that has 100% resist and can oneshot a titan

so yes they probably know very well what they are doing

The OP is absolutely right though. CCP keeps tipping the scales as to what's hot and what's not and that isn't the spirit of the sandbox game. The game was perfectly balanced... why all the nerfs and buffs? What is the need"? What does CCP have to constantly make me aware they exist when i'm trying to enjoy my game.

They are killing pirating, solo pvp and all conflict in high sec. Why? Because some douche that must've been hired around a year ago decided he doesn't like those things. Cool... that's a fun sandbox! Thanks for nothing CCP.

This game is starting to treat ship balancing like WoW. Every month there is gonna be a totally hawt new class buff that is gonna towtawly be the best to fly, so train your skillz and get ready! Excuse me... Eve was perfectly balanced STOP. STOP making every ship have huge drone bays, all the fitting requirements to fit everything you would need. The beauty of Eve was how inperfect the ships were.

You really are destroying everything this game used to be... and you are definitely not making it better.. you are killing Eve.

You are pretty way off, eve wasnt better when some ships were basically useless. Sure options are good in any situation, but if an option is just about never picked because a list of other options can do it's role better - why have it at all?

CCP removed and is in the process of removing the tier system which has been a thorn in eve's balls for a long time. It makes so much more sense now.

Why have less slots less HP and a random bonus on tier 1 when the top tier can do it all anyway - just a waste of ship models and database space.

Ive played for almost the full 10 years eve has been around and it is WAY better now, absolutely hands down, than it ever was.

Sure i got stung with some wasted training due to a tweak or change, but overall it actually is for the best.

Of course im less prone to changes now, since i have most of the skills for combat ships, but still, i now use ships that i would have never even thought about using before.

You seem to have made a mistake here. You’ve written “we” where you quite clearly mean “I”.

This.

EVE used to be complex*, it was engaging ... a lot of that has (imo) been lost with the relatively recent name changes and the like. I miss my Y-T8 MWD, (or Y-S8 AB), and my n-type EANM... not to mention the Heavy Widowmakers, or Sabretooth/Flameburst/Bloodclaw lights and gremlin rockets and .... (well, at least they kept "Scourge" ... "Trauma" was just plain ********).

All we have these days is "Prototype MWD" or "Experimental AB" or generic crap like that.

Cry

Granted over the years some things came and went FOTM, and most of the new rebalance is nice; but at the same time we might as well kill off 3/4 of the ships as even there, as things are becoming a little too vanilla.

*OK, some of the complexity was "complex because we made it that way" and was bad (e.g. the missiles having a different name for every size) ... other things were complex because there were 4 named variants of everything (e.g. EANM1, Voltaic Nanite Adaptive Membrane, Microcell Adaptive Nano Membrane, Radioisotope Adaptive Nano Membrane, N-Type EANM, and EANM II) ... but at least there was flavor to the game.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia
