I have played eve on many a toon for many years right from beta, But now i come to the point will i continue with playing eve.
Growing in eve is all about the fresh meat in the game seasoned players get lost in their neich and lost in there bubbles.
i have a new player friendly corp of which lately there has been a few more recuits thanx to the better interface with recuitment. But i have noticed that the players are not sticking to the game, I spoke with many a newer player all under 6 months old and all of which have left the game, Why becuase of the changes to eve they feel that they are been ignored as some what important.

Ok Check this out:

New player comes does some resurch and wants to go go typoon, pvp autocannon neut boat. nice ship worked out a nice fit and hes been training hard. he will finnally have the skills to fly it well 4 days after the nerf, Now he has to train missile skills for tourps. cut a long story short i recived a few contracts today with all his stuff hes gone.

In fact this isnt the only case i been spoken to alot with these changes by the newer players and they are all going.

With the removal of drone poo in eve costs are going up missions pay the same, incursions cripple somepeoples missions because of lack of standings to run lvl 4 missions else where. newer players can not aford to get out the the low end ships.

All the recent changes have nerfed the hell out of solo pvp now its who has the most ships, not player skill and ability

I rember this game been Great i loved it, CCP you are killing this game slowly, if this carries on from first hand experiance of actually talking to players, and noobs, For the love of god stop these changes and fix whats actually broken, there is a list 3 miles long on the fourms, i have bug reports on toons that are 3-4 years old with the bugs still there. How about some new missions, complexs and how about clack holes that actually kill you. Space is hazardious anyway.

This suggestion is made by all the people we talk to on teamspeak:

STOP NERFING THE HELL OUT OF SHIPS, WORK ON THE STATIONS WE WANT TO WALK AROUND AND PUNCH DUST BUNNIES IN THE FACE FOR NOT DOING THERE JOB, OH YEAH WAIT GET DUST PROPERLY LINKED TO EVE SO WE CAN FUND AND CONTRACT OUT SOME WORK SO WE CAN HAVE REASONS TO HIT THEM IN THE FACE!

Just quit now. While you can. Seriously.

EDIT: God only knows I try to read down those that make players leave the game for any reason...but please. Just leave.

Costs are going up, but the price of the goods is set by the people themselves. Yes, drone poo and missions no longer dropping t1 loot is making is somewhat harder to acquire enough materials to build ships. However the rebalance to the mining barges and exhumers are making acquiring materials through mining even easier and more efficient then ever. The price of ships will go down as more and more minerals are piled in to the market through afk and bot miners. Give it time. Things will be back to normal in a year or so.

Why do so many people want to walk when we have spaceships, in a universe full of spaceships, in a game based around spaceships???

It'd be like forking out the money Need For Speed and complaining that you can't build a your own house with Sims in it...

Its like buying Flight Simulator and getting all the third party controls, then whinging that you can't drive a car to the plane...

Let CCP do the job that we pay them for, working on spaceships... in a internet spaceship game...

If you wanna walk around, peel yourself off the seat and walk to the kitchen... for real authenticity, get someone to lock you in the house and take the TV remote so you can't get out or change the channel.

So you hate change, too!?

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

People talking about EVE dying, funny enough some of my students told me that some of their friends recently picked up the game and are enjoying it immensely.

With who is leading the new Team Nerf Non Alphafleet, and the destruction of racial distinctions .. nah EVE is not dying. What it is doing is dumbing down to the lowest common denominator.

This would make sense if CCP hasn't REPEATEDLY stated that they want EVE to be the ULTIMATE sci fi simulator.

If you want to be the end all be all of sci fi games, you need full avatar game play.

Otherwise, you are just the ultimate spaceship game.

I read the whole OP, honestly couldn't figure out what the hell he was going on about.

Highsec is owned by players now. Systems 0.5-1.0 are New Order Territory. All miners and other residents of Highsec must obey The Code. Mining without a permit is dangerous and harmful to the EVE community. See www.MinerBumping.com

And why do I need to stoop to the Dust bunnies level and punch him...

^this guy gets it. Whether you like it or not, the argument "eve has always been this way so it should always be this way" isn't valid because the premise in no way necessitates the conclusion.

@OP: dude, sounds like "special snowflake" syndrome. Just because someone doesn't like the game doesn't mean the game is the problem. Too much entitlement, not enough justification. If someone can't be bothered to apply creativity and problem solving to this game, they can't be surprised they're not as well-off as someone else who did, regardless of age.

And what is the solution to training for a nerfed ship? Reimburse? "I trained skills that don't give me the effect I want" is hardly a justification. Halt rebalancing? Gawd this is a waste of time. Not everyone will like this game, the difference is whether they leave because the game has problems or because they just don't like it, any part of it (combat mechanics, culture, skill training, loss, etc.).

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

A few thoughts:

1. A change is not the same as a nerf. The typhoon is being changed. It seems pretty unlikely that that change will really constitute a nerf.

2. Why would you let your new-player friend do something as absurd as train specifically for ABC ship using XYZ fit? Especially the Typhoon, which was been classically regarded as the single most skillpoint intensive battleship in the game?

You seem to have made a mistake here. You’ve written “we” where you quite clearly mean “I”.
