One of my first tutorial missions I got an item for tribal acceptance or something like that. Is this just a fluff item that takes up space, or do I actually use it for something? I have done the tutorials in two starting areas now, and have yet to be asked for it.

So... whats up with it? Anyone know?

I believe the item you speak of is required to play FW and/or to join a FW corp.

* FW is Factional Warfare.

No, that item is the Letter of Recommendation that you get after you complete the Advanced Military missions, which gives you a faction standing boost to let you join the NPC FW corp. No item is required to join a player FW corp.

OP, it's just fluff. And as it isn't the priceless Token of Submission as received by Amarrian capsuleers, it should hold no value for you.
