First, I already know about ellatha. My biggest gripe with that data base however is the fact that you cannot filter groups of items. So if im looking for skill books, i have to go though every page of a specific group just to find them. (also, it wont let me skip ahead to a specific page, it keep resetting the page number)

Is there a way to switch the store you are looking at in game, or is there a filter on ellatha that im missing to help narrow down the search?

Seems to me the site might be a bit bugged.

Filter by Factions - located on left side of page. After selecting the Faction, a list of Corporations appears in the middle of the page. After selecting a Corp, a Quick Search (*) option is at top middle of page.

I picked the Faction - Minmatar Republic, then picked the Corporation - Republic Fleet, then used the Quick Search option listed at the top of the page for that corps LP store and typed in - Shield Extender and clicked 'Go'.

This is where I think the bug happens.

The page now shows all Shield Extenders available in all LP stores.

Ugh

If this is a bug, then DaOpa should be notified. Found this at the bottom of the page :

I have all the LP store data in a local database with ISK/lp and so on. What is it you are looking for? Maybe i can filter it out for you.

No, it's on a local computer. Don't want to share all of it for now.
If you just want a MySQL database dump there is one in the 3rd party developer subforum.

Nothing specific really, i just wanted to see which factions had which skill books and ships available, but i was trying to narrow it down to factions i had decent pool of LPs with.

Not exactly sure what your lookin for, but a query like this will help http://www.ellatha.com/eve/LPSearch/Connections/

that will show all the skill books for all the different corps

I have, lets say 4 factions i have points with. I want to see what skill books they offer, and dont need to see the other things like implants and such. I dont know how you did that search, as it isnt obvious how to filter like that, and even with that, it only showed the connections books, none of the others, so im guessing you just did a search phrase for "connections".

But i want the skill book search to be more broad than that. Which ones have gun skills, or drone skills, or industry ect..

I believe what they are looking for is something that probably doesn't exist in the data: A Reward Type field.

Ammo vs Implant vs BP vs Fitting (perhaps even fitting types) vs Skillbook

That could get ugly pretty fast, especially if folks then want to filter based upon Require Item Type. (tags vs ammo vs ship vs ...)
