This is actually a story from my first few months of playing EvE. I was a member of the Galactic Mining Coalition. We were a rather large corp of around 38 active miners. If you ever counted up the amount of combat SP between us it would probably be no more than 8mill. That being said we were a very juicy target for any high sec war deckers.

Well too continue the story we were wardecked by a 14 man corp called like the okatu syndicate or something like that (been some time since ive retold this story and im not on a compy with eve too re look it up -_-) They find us in our home system which was Juffete at the time and set up camp. The first day was the worst. they started out rather fair too be honest, only fielding 2 HAC's and still one of the most memorable ships in my mind, that i have ever faced. A completely faction fit mach that ran circles around us and shot right through us like we were not even there. we fielded almost 28 cruisers and 4 battleships of various fail and were wiped out in less than 5 minutes of undocking.

After that if we were ever undocked for more than 10 minutes this frightening mach would find us and gun us down. Moral was low, our CEO bailed on us, and more were ready too jump ship. However our new CEO was imperitor Blueblood, who has made good friends with all of us and he kept us calm, and kept us doing things. He used an alt of his to ship in books and equipment too our home station were we could train for cloaking and EWAR. He told us the truth, "No, we can not beat this foe with our level of combat exp, but we will bide our time, and learn as much about our enemy as we can. Do not worry, we are not alone in this fight and help will be here soon."

Basically blue knew some people in the corp called the Priesthood that helps out mining corp out of wardecks like this, but it would still be another 4 days before they could mobalise too help us.

But what strikes me about this whole situation is that most of us did not take the easy way out and just log off until the priesthood saved our bacon, no , we trained and ventured from our happy hidey holes in station and gatherd information on our foes. We used cloak to help us get past gate gamps and talked alot more in our corp chat rather than not saying so much as word before this war except too start a mining fleet.

We were having fun.

Finally after the Priesthood arrived all the information we gathered on movements and fits helped them systematically tear apart our foes in less than a day, save for one ship, the faction fit mach. Every time The priest hood engaged it it would pop the points on it and get away. Until one day Blue and spaceshepard found it 3 systems from juff in a plex. After as much heartache this ship has given us we were not letting it get away.

Blue Managed to get 15 of us mobalised with only points and all forms of EWAR on our t1 frigs (thank god he got us those books). and then he called in the priesthoods best fighters (4 of them) and we warped too 0. The mach gave a valiant effort and took 4 of us down (having no pvp experience sucks) but too no avail. The 4 billion ISK ship went down in glorious fire and the wardeck was withdrawn a day later.

Now the point. I have not had that much fun in the GMC after that. We went back to our old habits and things became boring again. I soon left and joined the Defence force so I could have more story's such as this one.

That is why my vote for CSM goes to Psychotic Monk. Yes he is in the same lot as those people who highsec wardeck gank and safari for lols but he fights for storys such as this. This game is about the interactions between players. the victorys, the defeats, the lols, and the tears.
