If i sleep at the keyboard while cloaked? is that AFK cloaking?

Subject says it all... would null sec dwellers keep complaining if I was not AFK but just cloaked there doing nothing?


btw what about just getting onto an stable dramiel and just flying in a straight line at some ludicrous speed so scanning it wont allow you to catch it? would that be considered AFK speeding?

Null SEC will complain that you are an AFK cloaker if you where doing lines on your keyboard while typing the phone book in local Blink

You should see the street I live on. Myself and CCP Maiden Steel regularly get cornered by fluffy kitties that want snuggles on the way to and from work.

There's at least 25 cats that live on our street. It's a 10 minute walk to/from work, but the trip often takes 20-30 minutes because of kitties Big smile

I think it should be possible to scan down cloaked ships.

Extremely difficult (perhaps with a scan strength of 120+) yes but doable.

Perhaps it would require a specific type of probe or probe launcher or both but it should be doable in my view. Perhaps the scan would never give an exact location but a 'close' location (within 20km or something or just 'on grid' with them) so a pilot would still have to fly around to knock the cloaker out of cloak.

I like the idea of just 'on grid' with them... the detection can be explained as some sort of emissions leakage that has only recently been discovered, and it still doesn't mean the cloaky is found... but if they're just afk camping, a concerted effort can now be made to decloak and pop them.
