Smartbombs on Wormholes

bitter dissapointment, as my smartbomb's 'internal safety override' activates within 6000m of a wormhole..
surrounded by reds and drones.

Is there a good reason anyone can offer as to why I can't Smartbomb the hell out of someone on a wh?

stations and gates... I guess I can understand. but much fun is lost when we can't SB a wh.

A lovely opportunity lost just then for carnage :) but the next wh opened always promises more adventure~

It's the exact same reason you can't do it on gates or stations. Remember that it's not an RP reason (even if there is a message with RP, that's just fluff, not the real reason it's forbidden).

cos you could park 20 disco BSs at zero on the WH with 3 guards passing them cap and armour and no one could do anything about it....
would have thought that was obvious.

you could still do that, park your 20 BS around the wh at 6005m distance each and get total coverage.

That's not a reason why it should be impossible to activate a smartbomb at 5995m.

So you are basically complaining you don't want to plug for officer smarties and move toward the WH at 5m/s until you are 6005m away. Lazy, cheapass and stupid.

I'm not trying to camp anything, the wormhole is being camped on the other side, guys buzzing around the hole at close range with drones all over the place trying to decloak my friends as they attempt to get home.
I jump through and try to light the SBs in an attempt to disrupt the hostile camp.

It would seem a valid tactic to be employed in an effort to disrupt a WH camp, and I was surprised to find the restriction preventing it.

It doesn't matter what YOUR intentions are. The reason it's blocked has been explained to you.
