1x Heavy Cap Booster vs 3x Cap Rechargers

Hi. I am currently flying an Abaddon and I wish to rennovate my ship to increase its speed and its tracking. By doing this I plan on using a Heavy Cap Booster II using Cap Booster 800s. I am just wondering if it is better to use this over 3x Cap Rechargers. Because I checked the stats and a Cap Booster can only hold about 4 of the 800 ones. And the cab boosters take up a lot of cargo space. So is it worth it??

For PvE dont bother with a cap booster. You will run out of charges too quickly.

For PvP, most people use cap booster as the fights are usually quicker.

You could try Large Energy Discharge Elutriation II rigs as they are pretty cheap (15 million) and lower the capacitor requirements of the guns pretty well. Try it in EFT and see what you can come up with.

Thats not true the abaddon works really good with cap boosters and if you get use to it you can get through a mis only using a couple of boosters :)

Personally I would look at the boosters. I don't Fly an armor tank for PVE but use a Golem, CNR & Nightmare. By using a cap booster rather than rigs or othermodules it allows you to fit for more 'gank' . To be honest, the NM rarely needs any boost as I have navy tachs fitted and it's rare that enough rats get in target to break the shield. With the CNR it's slightly different (due to missile flight time) and so if you trigger the whole room, by not being attentive to the triggers like I am sometimes, then the booster really helps. It is only recently I put a cap booster in - primarily after moving to a more PvP corp.

Personally, if you gunnery skills are good and support skills are the same then you 'should' be able to get through the lvl 4's with little need for additional cap boost. Also I use my NM in Amarr space so it's ideal vs Blood/sansha - if you are in Gallente/Minmatar then a laser ship may not be the best to deal with the rats - well specific ammo will do more damage and will allow you to use your gank as tank. So I have left my NM in Amarr when I moved to Minmatar space but have a jump clone to go to if I want to do some bllod missions for the Amarr LP !
