Start looking , most of those payment methods are country specific , PLEX is not what we are talking about , and using GTC means going through vendors which again.. you guessed it .. USES CREDIT CARD OR PAYPAL

Debit Card ftw :D

Since it charges to my savings account, no credit, no fees, no debt, and no bills.

Indeed paypal is a greedy greedy little monster than should be spanked, but no one wants to spank it because the greedy monster has all our money. But cheer up, it's not like Chinese Visa can screw you over any worse than paypal.

Paypal's customer service is out of this world amazing compared to googles, which is almost non existent.

The only thing I have ever had hacked is my paypal account. Also paypal is horrendous for managing your money, you pay for something one day, and maybe 2 weeks later it take it out of your bank.

Granted as soon as I called Paypal about the hacking they said right away, this transaction wasn't from you.

They actually bought 2 minecraft accounts, and that was the last thing I had actually bought with paypal previously for a friend.

Setting up a payment system is far from trivial. I would rather not want a computer game company do this.
While being Swiss, privacy in my financial transactions means probably more to me than to most of you. Yet, I do not need privacy for all my transactions. Pay EVE via credit card or paypal; for other goods use a bank transfer inside Europe or go the silk road

On the internet, you can be whatever you want to be. It is amazing that so many people chose to be stupid.

I mean seriously.
Its quick to take our money but slow to pay.

Takes forever to top up with our bank accounts , and its customer service doesn't reply to emails (not fast enough to be relevant anyway )
Why don't CCP just set up their OWN payment system where we can interbank transfer to pay for our purchases and games?
A tad similar to the debit card , but a LOT more simple.

PS: Those saying , why don't use credit cards?
Cos , my university is "too good" for VISA and insist on using Union Pay . The CHINESE version of VISA , WHICH CCP doesn't accept. And other credit card providers charges a hefty annual fee . My affinity card is FREE .

Now code and host a secure way to handle international monetary transactions cheaper and better than paypal.

Then implement that idea and you'll be rich.

So far we've seen very few people trying to do this.

It might be because it's very hard or that they're just not as smart as you are.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

Note, we are talking about ditching PayPal for Google Wallet

I just found out about Google Wallet this year and it's apparently been out since 2011 and I use the Internets EVERYDAY.

PayPal has been around for like 15 years or something.

Google is great, but Paypal has WAYYYYY more credibility when it comes to making payments than Google Wallet.

This may change in a few years, but as of now, Paypal is the way to go.

And I for as long, but their no customer service and dismal business practices, I'd rather send the money by Western Union - via pony express - before going through them. Used it for eBay, and just trying to get the money in the eBay account into the banking account was a chore. Paypal doesn't mind nickel and diming you with fees, but can't be bothered to transfer funds on time.

So either it's credit card or debit, or it's a snail mail with a check. Not going to Mickey Mouse around with the fees, run arounds and zero customer service.

Sorry but I don't think Iceland could support the sudden mass influx if people wanted to relocate for more "civilized" and advanced banking.

As for the EU and US - the surprise butt sex on the bank statements have gotten old over time as both areas cater more to the bankers than the customers.

Just one opinion on the topic. Lol
