It's actually not a bad list.

A professional astro-bastard was not available so they sent me.

Ok I will admit I did find it as funny as hell.

On a similar note, according to CCP Dolan, an STV system will give almost exactly representational vote compared to the voters. I will admit I disagree as this assumes the voters have a clue but anyway this election will at least show how big a percent of voters are from Null. Also whether CCPs big plans to get hi-sec off its butt actually works or not.

But at least I am going to be crying alligator tears apparently. Lol

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

Easily tested for a "14 Day Live Trial" by reverting all of High Sec to 0.0... and far more amusing than the melodrama of CSM elections. Twisted

I'm not fond of the order, but other than that… sure.

wish i had known about that.

i'd have gladly voted for their list of 14 just to save me the trouble of clicking all 14 candidates myself, several times...

Calls by the CSM to get CCP to provide linkable ballots (like the Vote Me links last year) to make this sort of thing accessible to everyone were unfortunately ignored.

maybe next year :s

The CSM is regarded as stakeholder within CCP.

And as anyone who has any experience in this kind of project knows, a competent stakeholder is vital to the success to a project.

But a ******, single view , "Whaa! I want my lolly!" stakeholder will just be ignored.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

You're a wormhole guy, right? You'll probably get a couple guys on the CSM.

Alt smugpost: You're a wormhole guy, right? You're fine, our ballot has one WH candidate on it P

(In seriousness, I thought you were a highsec guy for the longest time based on how you talked about null blocs, and only realized you weren't when you posted your 14 choices. You also seem to take things a bit more in stride compared to a year or two ago, vOv)

Yes I think I have mellowed a bit, And yeah I think WHs will get 2 candidates this year, 3 if we are really good and make lots of sacrifices to BoB.

Edit: Plus last year Null sec where trying to prove something that would be detrimental to the CSM, the 10,058 votes. It would have made this year harder to sell the elections to the Hi-sec populous.

But this year CCP stepped in and fixed that and made the elections harder instead Lol

Will the high-sec players even care? If EvE goes to hell in a hand-basket, we'll just unsub and play something else.

Those vested and interested in this CSM stuff are the vets. It's their mini-game. They talk about issues for themselves anyway. And anything high-sec related is about torture and demons.

Yeah, it's vet voodoo. See it any game that exists longer than 5 years.

This is why so few games ever make it to 5 years let alone 10.

If the newer players like the game then they need to be aware of the CSM and what it can do, and to voice their opinions at it.

Other wise you will play game after game that dies complaining that they did not last very long.

The games I care about and have played still exist and continuing on.

EQ/EQII = EQNext.
WoW = Titan.
BF2142 = BF4

No CSM either, but carrying on.

This is why I keep saying alienating the noobs doesn't matter, they have games always to return too -- and some just as old and even older!

Encouraging people to perform felonies for space politicians isn't a good idea.

Well that is fair enough. You have admitted you don't care about EvE, so now explain to me why EvE should care about you?

Didn't say anything of that sort, but I can see how you would see it: losing control hurts.

I believe in actual sandbox games, where players can truly do their own thing...not be dictated too.

EvE doesn't have to care, but like any game out there, apathy doesn't attract and keep players now does it.
