Troy McClure can.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

i'm not talking sexy love here btw, but the platonic pet-owner love between man and fish. i can love a dog or maybe even a cat, but when i look into the eyes of a fish i see nothing but otherness and contempt.

That's no fish, cats are the ones who radiate contempt.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Cichlids (oscars, jack dempseys, red devils, etc.) are lovable. They have a lot of personality, and they get to know you and will come to the edge of the tank to see you. Sure, they've learned that you're the food-bringer and therefore a good guy to hang around. But even when they're stuffed and not hungry, they'll come up and check you out. My wife, who isn't a fish person, says about one of my oscars, "He's just like a dog! He comes up and wants to play."

Rule 34.

No exceptions.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

i also had oscars once. they were very personable. we would buy and give them feeder fish. dump them in the oscars tank and watch "the games" as we jokingly called feeding time. when i was little i had a betta fish. i wasn't a very responsible pet owner in those days. i would forget to change the water for ages. lol. it would be so murky you could not even see the fish from some angles. i was sure it was dead on many occasions but it never was. he would get fresh water and flare up looking all pissed off and ready to kill something.

toughest creature ever that ever lived. i had him for about five years. i was pretty sad when i came home from school one day and found him floating Sad

I had a similar situation like that as well. In my 'Days of a Crackhouse' segment we knew a chick who's boyfriend was generally a douche, which generally comes with the territory. Well every couple of days she would show up at the crack house all crying n **** about her boyfriend being a douche and that she was leaving him and she needed a place to stay. She would bring some personal effects like clothes or whatever, all of which never left the house just as she never left him. Well on one of those occasions she brought in a Beta. To my knowledge none of us ever fed it and we certainly never cleaned the bowl. How the thing was even alive 5 months later is beyond me. It was living in a half empty bowl of green sludge.

Anytime I watch Monty Python, I think of "The Hitichhiker's Guide to The Galaxy". Is that odd?

Of course it's possible....

I love it when a fish jumps onto my hook.

I love it when I'm gutting a fish.

I love it when I'm getting the grill ready.

I love it when the fish is grilling on said grill.

I love it when the fish is yummy in my tummy.

Surrender is still your slightly less painful option.

While I'm not a big fan of fake crab meat, when you are on a budget sometimes, it's better then nothing.

If all the land animals like chicken, cows, yadda yadda would disappear over night, I would not be in the least bit concerned. As long as there is still seafood. Especially fish. Have I mention that I love me some fish?

Surrender is still your slightly less painful option.

Mmmmmm..... salmon..... mcyummy.

Trout caught in some of our local lakes is really good.

Fire up the grill, put some herbs, onion, and a lemon on the fish, wrap in foil, and grill on a medium fire.

Service with rice pilaf.

Great, now I've made myself hungry for fish, and I have two whole chickens in the oven roasting. Straight
