Is there any update on the delay?

Just working out some kinks. The web team are basically wizards, so I assume they need more eye of newt and dragon's blood.

CCP Dolan has informed me that the election will not start until the candidates have all paid 1 PLEX into a fund that will be used to buy beer for the web team.

As I am a CSM running for re-election, he has asked me to handle the details of collecting the PLEXes. All candidates should contract me a PLEX immediately.

In the future can you do the top 4 people you want elected... after the 4th person i just picked random people... honestly if my top 4 dont get elected i really dont care after that point who does... but making me choose 14 is just a waiste of time...
At the end of the game both the pawn and the Queen go in the same box.

You can easily stop at 4 and not submit any more.

I cannot submit a blank vote. Is that intentional?

There's a very big difference between Not Voting and an Abstain Vote.

There definitely wasn't an abstain option - not that I would've used it, but there really should be one, possibly even with a text bloc to allow someone to enter a reason for abstention. That should be info CCP craves if they have any interest in actually trying to increase voter turnout.

If this is going to contain other feedback as well, I'd also like to see some kind of one-off "reciept" of who you voted for after you submit the vote. Doesn't have to be anything permanent, just a confirmation of the characters and the order after you submit so we can be sure the system is actually taking our order correctly.

"Look any reason why you need to talk like that? I have now reported you. I dont need to listen to your bad tone. If you cant have a grown up conversation then leave the thread["

Voting page is missing an "Abstain" button.

Having trouble figuring out how the hell to list 14 candidates?

I've listened to all 36 Crossing Zebras interviews, the Down the Pipe wormhole candidate debate, two Declarations of War debates and two Voices from the Void debates. I've also read most of the Jita Park threads and blogs, along with many of the articles written by the broader community. I've used these resources to create a Voters Guide that may be of use to undecided or uncertain or those looking to fill a full ballot (which I recommend).

(1) Please put a notice on the EVE launcher page to advertise this election, so that people who don't pay attention to the forums know that they can vote. It's the single easiest and most effective thing you can do to increase voter turnout.

(2) Please order candidates by name, or in some other reasonable fashion, so that a voter can easily find the candidates he wants to vote for.

(3) Please consider integrating the community site and the EVE Gate/forum sites. It takes four clicks to get to the voting page from the forums, and you have to know what you're looking for in the first place, nevermind having to log into two different services. That the two sites use completely different layouts doesn't help in any way at all.

(4) The drag and drop is pretty good overall, but is somewhat annoying to use on screens without a lot of vertical real estate. Please consider moving the vote slots from the top to the side, or allowing for a 'compressed' view that only shows candidate names and not pictures. Having to scroll the screen to vote for the candidates at the bottom half of the page is not terribly convenient.

(5) The tile for each candidate on the voting page should have a way of getting to that candidate's election thread on the forums.

The candidate list is randomized intentionally, so people on top of the list don't get a disproportionate amount of votes off lazy people. I agree on the other points though.

Searching through the randomized list 14 times per account was a pain though. An option to list them alphabetically would have made things much easier.

Also, I assumed you could add a candidate by double-clicking them, but unfortunately you have to drag all of them.

Since the current STV system allows you (and in fact encourages you!) to make a list, I highly recommend that people take a look at which candidates match their views through Vote Match. It makes making a list of 14 candidates a lot easier!

And tell your friends!

Oh my god, thank you. This is amazing.

Informed voters are good voters. Smile Thanks go to the makers of both.

Huh, votOmat needs some work. FAI, why in heavens should i have an opinion on DREADNOUGHTS if i'm a hisec dweller? "Don't give a sh**" should be an option in every question, seriously...

Goons have written javascript to automate prefilling candidates on the ballot before it's submitted. Is this permitted? If so, I'd be happy to write a tool and make it more generally available, but if it's not permitted, I'd rather the playing field be level.
